    Hi Marshallka

I think I am given the runaround here, because HFC bank were obviously the ones who dealt with the rebate in Nov 2005, they are bringing Endeavour in each time and they know Endeavour were only the lender and not the broker, so I have emailed the one from the FOS and have forwarded her a copy of the letter, and also explained that it was her that said it would be the HFC who should be dealing with this as its regarding the rebate.

I have no confirmation from HFC yet though that they had received the details from the FOS, as I had given HFC the details myself 2 days ago so they obviously checked that this was complained about before but on the miss selling side, did you notice they mentioned August 2008 on the letter?

I will see what the FOS say about this next week but still believe its HFC that are responsible and were under jurisdiction but they are hoping that I will not go further with this.

Hope you don't get the runaround again Marshallka hun, wish you more luck that what I have here.;) xxxx
So this reply received today was nothing to do with the letter that the FOS have written about the unfair rebate??? Its about the last letter you sent to Endeavour then - am I correct. If this is the case I bet they are just covering their backs and know that FOS have complained on your behalf about the rebate side of things to the insurer... .

  • Hi All

Wondering if anyone can help me out before I start sending out any letters to reclaim PPI.

I am going to persue 2 loans which I knew I took out PPI - with Barclays and Alliance & Leicester.

The others are credit/store cards taken out between 1999 and finished in 2007. Do/Did the following companies automatically make you take out PPI???

    Barclaycard
    Halifax Credit Card
    Capital One
    Natwest Business Loans
    Topman
    Burton

Thanks in advance to anyone who can assist me. I dont wanna be sending off for statements etc and paying the £10 charge if theres no chance they were not doing PPI

    Cheers :A

    Hi there
I believe its highly possible that all had sold PPI automatically to credit and store cards etc, if you have the agreements the PPI will be also be shown.

If you don't want to go as far as an SAR, you could always request for copies of your Agreement from these, they may be free of charge or some may charge a £1 for these.
If you have also settled any of these you can still obviously reclaim if you believe you were mis sold in any way and request for a hardcopy through the post of written breakdown of calculations, there you should know if PPI was added.

I expect you may be aware that A&L were fined for mis selling not so long ago?

Do you require the reclaim templates for these hun?
    Or are you already prepared?

If so you will know they have 8 full weeks to respond and another letter maybe required if your not happy with the first response, then if they mention the FOS with an enclosed leaflet that is where you can go to if still not resolved.

As you will also be aware best post by recorded delivery for your proof.

If you require further info hun just give us a shout and good luck.;)

I really do not know to be honest and think the same as you they are covering themselves and know the FOS have complained, but keep going back to Endeavour.
So I have made the consultant from the FOS aware of this just in case, as these were actually the ones who dealt with the rebate, I wish they would just get it into their heads that this is not about the selling and is about the rebate only, the stupid muppets......

As you know I did not hear a thing about the last complaint I sent to them.
Think they are now going by that one.
