Thanks Dreamer, we can breathe a little now but we are in debt so its not really for enjoyment... . :o
  • Have received letter confirming everything in phone call & sent stage 2 letter to group retail controller.

Lets hope this one realises I won't be fobbed off.

I emailed DFS to ask for details of the credit agreement they were very quick and helpful, they told me First national Tricity finance.

Need to send off for details don't know if they added ppi or not was not discussed.

    Good luck

  • So I'm going to have to go the ombudsman now, now very pleased about this as I know it can take a really long time to sort out. My main point for mis-selling of PPI was that I was sold a single premium policy and I saw the loan through to the end, the full cost was never explained properly infact I was never even told what the actual monthly cost of PPI was. Marshalka did you have to take your complaints re co-op to the FOS and if so how long did it take (sorry have not read all the posts here).

Will be ringing FOS first thing Mon morning, any advice from anyone welcome :-)

    Morning,

Just to keep you updated, got a call at 5pm from FP ref telephone calls, they told me need both of us to sign form for release of telephone calls, told her not doing it they already had one, just get someone to send me out the calls on CD.

She advised me could not find form, told her not my problem send CD. After going around the houses I was starting to lose the will and told her I have a letter dated 15 feb 06 saying here is your SAR request and telephone calls and that if they did not receive form signed by both me and oh why would I have received my SAR request.

She went away and spoke to manager, she come back to say they use a different system now and that is why cannot locate letter, told her right then if the letters are not on your system you are legally obliged to keep it for 6 yrs and advised her that I know the letters would have been archived, find them, She then said they would be archived but could not tell me where  I did'nt want to know anyway just want CD.

I told her not filling in any form send the CD or I would get FOS to get it for me and that they have with-held info and not allowed.

I told her forget it in the end and would take it further, she then said are you sure have someone looking into it, said okay you come back to me and tell me you going to send out CD or I take it further.

She called me back within 10mins, been to archive system and found form  will arrange for CD to be sent out, told her they have 7days or I go to FOS.

I was foaming went completley around the houses, I know my stuff here with regards to how they would deal with archiving and either they were being completley thick or they were trying to pull the wool over my eyes. This has been going on now for over a week. I feel I have basically told them how to do their job MUPPETS!!!!!

Got a letter this am from OFT with regards to my complaint with ff saying:

My complaint has been logged for our records and will add to our understanding of this UK market.

I am sorry to hear of the difficulties you have experienced. The OFT cannot usually take action on cases brought by individual consumers. Our primary duties include the enforcement of competition law, the reg of the consumer credit market through a licensing system and the application of consumer protection legislation in respect of matters that adversely affect the collective interests of UK consumers.

The OFT can also investigate markets that do not appear to be working well for consumers and complaints or info received may be forwarded to one of our market investigation teams for their further consideration.

Very nice letter feel my point has been put across here, the name FF.

I have been dealing with these too hun, taken a while before I heard anything, will tell you more again.:D ;)

Good luck with this one Shellbell, and I'm sure Marshallka will be able to confirm the amount of time this had taken, although I know she had some messing about.

Do you require the FOS complaint form hun, if you don't want to ring them for a form, although that is okay to do that, but you can also print these online from their website here:
    http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/consumer/complaints.htm

Don't forget to get phoocopies done of any correspondence to support your case, including the final decision from the finance firm as the FOS will require this.

Fingers crossed and just yell when you need further help here, and Marshallka will be able to confirm your query at some point today I expect hunni.;)
