  • Hi folks

Just wanted to update the forum about my complaint with Welcome finance. The adjudicator has upheld two of my complaints for loans taken out in 2004 & 2007 but the 2006 loan will need to be directed to Portfield Financial Service who they say packaged this loan. After 13 months this is a big blow as I have to start the whole process again. This is very frustrating!!! But as you can guess I have to continue to get back what is rightfully mine.

I am still waiting to be paid out by Black Horse finance. The due date is Monday 24th Nov. As I am in arrears they keep sending letters about what I owe them but nothing about what they owe me! I am desperate for this money before christmas. I will be on the adjudicators back to sort this out although he has closed the case. Having read Di's and Maxdp's log about the length of time this is taking I feel like screaming!!!!icon8.gif I am concerned about the letters they keep sending as charges are being added.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Hi all

Posted my two letters today to GE money to claim back the account cover on both accounts. I have been paying this for 6 years at £1.00 per £100 on Miss Selfridge and £1.50 per £100 on my Topshop account - I was a student for 4 years (including when I took out the accounts) so doubt I was covered at all!!! Heres hoping I get something back and can whack off another credit card............fingers crossed guys! anyne had any dealings with GE money at all in trying to reclaim insurance/account cover which was mis-sold?

    Thanks

    L xxx
Hi, don't forget the 8% statutory interest on them too.

Thanks hun, yes it could be worse.;)

It would be good if you did hear an update on that one as its gone on too long in my opinion, hopefully it will be good news.

I think its either nothing or everything comes at once.

Have you anything else to deal with after the unfair rebate one ?
After the Firstplus one there is nothing at all cause I cannot be bothered to start on the Car loans ones as they were over 6 years ago and also I have not got the agreements etc....

I shall be glad when they are both over.. I only had the two..;)

This letter was dated the 12th November so it was either that day or just before the FOS had sent off the details to HFC, so better use the date as from 12 Nov for the 8 weeks.

    Dear Mr & Mrs

    12 November 2008

Your complaint about HFC Bank Limited

I refer to my letter of 04 November 2008 in which I advised you that the complaint would be registered against Hamilton Insurance Company.

I have received a response from Hamilton Insurance who is now part of Norwich Union.
The firm have advised me that the insurance rebate is a matter for the HFC Bank to address as it falls solely within their remit.

I have therefore sent HFC your details of your complaint and have asked them to deal with the matter.
They should issue a final response in writing within 8 weeks of the date they hear from us.

For your information the HFC banks Address is:

    Mr Siggers
    HFC Bank Limited
    120 Edmund Street
    Birmingham
    West Midlands
    B3 2QZ

On receipt of HFC Bank's final response, if you feel that they have not put things right, or alternatively you have not heard from them after 8 weeks, please return the complaint form together with any other supporting documentation.

    Yours sincerely
    Consumer Consultant
    ..........................................................................................................................
They have not even started with mine with Firstplus Insurers and mine was sent in way before yours so I would imagine that mine will be thrown out again probably. If it is then I am going to make a complaint to the FOS as they have messed about too much on this one and its making me so annoyed. I know that we were unfairly rebated and if they let them get away with it.......

Can you not ring them and speak to a manager and send them a copy of the letter where they owe you money too. Its probably cause its different departments and if they know this from you in writing it may help and stop further charges. Also what about asking the adjudicator to look into the charges for you. I would be really annoyed if this happened to me. Perhaps you could charge £30 per letter to them... .

Hi Marshallka hun, I would be so mad if yours were thrown back at you again, you've had no end of messing with this one, I have never known anything like it...... .
Wish they would just let you know what they are doing with this one, must be very frustrating for you..... .

Mind you I have a hunch about mine now with the HFC, I have a feeling they will write and try passing the buck !

    Hi hun
Give the FOS a ring and explain your current situation, tell them its causing you a great deal of stress and worry - its making you feel ill, hopefully they can push for this for you.;)

Marshallka has made a good suggestion on what to do x.

    Good luck

They can't pass the buck as it was the ombudsman service that told you you had to make a complaint about unfair rebate to them in the first place. Surely they should know where the jurisdiction lies, its their job isn't it...

Yeah I know and thought that about Hamilton too, so fingers crossed HFC will deal with it.
They should know where jurisdiction lies, they should check this out first time - surely..... .
