Hi there, sorry for being daft, but we took out a secured loan with NEMO a few years ago and was told we had to have the insurance or we couldnt get the money. We signed u for it however. The thing is although we got all the paper work When it came to settling in full we had paid the insurance in full up front? We was not made aware that. We never made a claim, and had the insurance for less than a year, yet paid insurance for the full term of the loan? is this right?kind regards
mandy
p.s how would I go about writing to them regarding my info, as the account is closed, and we have since moved hence us repaying it. would we use the old account number?
thanks alot

What year did you take this loan out?
You can request a copy of the agreement and also a breakdown of the settlement figure. Just write a letter and send it recorded delivery and enclose £1 as they can charge..They have to send it within 12 days. Then you can send the reclaim letter as well.
Was it definately Nemo that sold you the insurance as if you used a broker you have to make a complaint to the firm that actually sold you the insurance if different from the lender.
Take a look at the link here for reasons why you were missold and then try and do your own letter from it. Send it recorded delivery and then you have to give them 8 weeks to respond.

I really don't think my lloyds complaint that's in with the adjudicator right now looks good, surely they would have admitted it by now......

Hi Mandy
We had a complaint dealt with by the FOS regarding Nemo, they were not easy and our case became very complexed. We won in the end though.;)
Even though we had 2 loans with Nemo it was the 2nd loan ppi direct through them to pursue with, as the first one although Nemo were the lenders, it was a broker who arranged this, so whoever sold you the loan hun is the ones you complain to.
I see our Marshallka has already explained to you how to go about this but if you require further help - just give us yell, good luck !;)

Yes maybe that was the case, I don't suppose all of them use out of office replies by email.
Okay another 10 days, so fingers crossed.:DThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi marshallka glad you back on, kids stole lapy again
No, not heard yet lol their our enemies  they were my friends when taking the agreement and ppi out but then when I complained they became my enemies.
What is that saying "keep an eye on your friends but an even closer eye on ya enemies"lol?:wave:0 -
I know this is not ppi related but just been reading about babyP, felt like crying for him, its the first I've read about him. I nearly had to stop but couldn't.
I hope they rot in hell for what they have done. 17mths old not even the start of his little life really.
Its really horrendous what goes on in this world. How can anyone hurt babys and children, makes me feel sick.
Sorry to go on its really gotten to me:wave:0 -
Don't worry too much Di it will all be good in the end :j
Thanks hun, I think it was because the adjudicator told me that lloyds had until the 12th of this month as a deadline, but maybe they asked for more time like these companies do...... .
What really annoyed me today was my letter I received from Lloyds, not sure if you have read it yet, but I emailed them back about 2 weeks ago to ask for a copy of my letter I sent them in 2004, which was a query about the ppi, and they said after 6 months they shredded the letter, as its a their policy procedure to do this, but I know they supposed to even keep these letters in case they are needed for the 6 years you can ask for, the thing is you see, they did not put the copy with my SAR I received a few months back and it would have been a help for my complaint I believe !The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
If I get logged off Di its my daughter wants to do something on lappy with her DS I will be back:wave:0
