Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help and tell me whether I'm wasting my time or whether this is worth persuing further? I have a Nat West Mastercard which I have had for 20 years and has PPI cover which I don't need so chancing my arm I sent the fist template letter to them claiming mis-selling. At the time I took out the card I was considerably greener and don't recall ever being told exactly what the PPi was for. I have today received their reply basically telling me to get stuffed!!!! Has anyone sucessfully reclaimed going this far back?

    Hi Sues

I am claiming for somebody who had PPI on a Barclaycard from 1991 and they do not remember signing for it. In those days I think it was a case of having to opt out of PPI rather than ticking that you wanted it.

Have you cancelled the PPI now. Have you claimed on the PPI at all in that time,

Also do not be disheartened that is the standard FOB off letter so do not give up send another letter and say you will take it to the FOS. There are templates on this site under claim 1000 Red Tab;)

No I haven't I hope she is OK. Perhaps she is just having a break from here. She has a lot on her plate at the moment and must be a worrying time for her. Sure she will be back on later.

I got it wrong then sorry, thought tiggrae said that seeing as it was a loan it had to be paid back into that account.

    Hi Marshallka

    How you doing.
    Hi maxdp, hows yous;)

yeah but some people had complaints upheld by the FOS and argued it but still had to accept it off the loan if they had not paid out. I know tiggrae used to argue it and tell people to argue it too but don't know if she got anywhere though..

Exactly, well they are stating on the letter it was shredded in accordance with their procedures - it makes you think....... , I have also emailed a copy of this to my adjudicator, it may get him thinking also...... .

I hope Marshallka is just resting and nothing is up, yep she has a lot to deal with right now, bless.........
I'm here and certainly not resting up. Last thing I need really. Just been spring cleaning and looking up others things on the net. I get carried away you see.

Been looking up this lupus thing and its low white cells (Mine are high!!) also platelets are high!!! and also the lupus anticoagulant being positive(??) can be a lot more things than lupus. I have been doing overtime and reading up on it. Must admit though over the past years I have been with most physical symptoms and bloods have been funny for years. I just want to know why really... . Is this normal behaviour:eek: .

I've not cancelled yet as I assumed that they would take my complaint as notice that I wanted to cancel so will be doing that a.s.a.p.

I've never claimed on the insurance as I always settle my bill in full every month.

With my firstplus one and the going to two adjudicators and then being thrown back it was Firstplus who objected to the jurisdiction thing... Think they can sometimes tell the FOS that it is not in jurisdiction..

Was this rebate or mis selling?

    Hi Marshallka

Don't overdo it........:D , hope your okay though.;)

I had posted by email a copy of that letter from lloyds I added here earlier to the adjudicator and he just emailed back to say "thank you Mrs XXXXX, I will review it over the next 10 days, but nothing about my other emails I sent....... , I just wanted to know an upto date outcome as it was the 2 weeks deadline Wednesday, but he mentioned nothing....... , this is about LLoyds TSB Credit card ppi.

So I have just emailed him back to ask if he sent anything in the post since the last time he emailed me about approx 3 weeks ago as I have received nothing of an update as yet, and worried in case anything has gone to my last old address, the old address is on my lloyds agreement, yet I have told the adjudicator many times of this address of where I have been living for the past 7 years or so......
