Up to now I have not heard from the FSCS, then it will be 2 weeks next week.
I will let you know what they say, but I think it will either be what they have told you -or that they are still investigating.......

Was this rebate or mis selling?
Rebate and also settlement... I asked why at the FOS. I told them I thought that they detemined the who is in jurisdiction thing and was told that they look at most complaints and sometimes its the business that tells them its not within their jurisdiction.

    Hi Marshallka

Don't overdo it........:D , hope your okay though.;)

I had posted by email a copy of that letter from lloyds I added here earlier to the adjudicator and he just emailed back to say "thank you Mrs XXXXX, I will review it over the next 10 days, but nothing about my other emails I sent....... , I just wanted to know an upto date outcome as it was the 2 weeks deadline Wednesday, but he mentioned nothing....... , this is about LLoyds TSB Credit card ppi.

So I have just emailed him back to ask if he sent anything in the post since the last time he emailed me about approx 3 weeks ago as I have received nothing of an update as yet, and worried in case anything has gone to my last old address, the old address is on my lloyds agreement, yet I have told the adjudicator many times of this address of where I have been living for the past 7 years or so......
Have you left voice messages too here Di...???

I've not cancelled yet as I assumed that they would take my complaint as notice that I wanted to cancel so will be doing that a.s.a.p.

I've never claimed on the insurance as I always settle my bill in full every month.

Sue write to them as per letters on reclaim 1,000 red tab at top. State your case/

The chances are if you are lucky you will get the last 6 years of charges plus interest plus 8%.

You will probably have received standard FOB of letter.

Write telling them that you are now going to take this to the FOS and ask them for their final response. Send all communication by recorded delivery.

You can download a form from the FOS web site to fill in. Good luck:D

  • Hi, I have a personal overdraft facility with Barclays, I have had this for several years, and have been paying a monthly fee for 'Overdraft Protection Insurance'. Since reading through this forum, I am unsure of where I stand in being able to claim this back... I have recently cancelled the policy because I felt some areas did not apply to my situation as I am self employed. Is this insurance to be treated the same as PPI? (In essence I belive that this is what it is) and is it worth me trying to claim?
    Thanks in advance ;)

    Yes Jason

It is just the same I have the same with Lloyds on a business overdraft (well I did). It is treated in the same way. Think of the reasons you feel you may have been miss sold this PPI (I presume you did not ask for it). Was it sold as cannot have overdraft unless you take out this insurance.

Ask them for all paperwork etc you can do that by downloading the letter from the Reclaim 1,000 red tab at top of this page and find the letter. You may have to pay £10.00 for SAR. Send by registered post. Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Yes, you can make a complaint about it but if its just the self employment that you are making it over, then i would check your terms and conditions as sometimes you are covered for self employment if you are paying class 2 ni.

I really don't think my lloyds complaint that's in with the adjudicator right now looks good, surely they would have admitted it by now...... .
