    Upadte peeps:

    Conclusion

“You had enough information to make an informal decision as to whether PPI was required. We gave our recommendation however it was your choice to accept the loan an PPI b signing the documentation.

You did not query the information you were given at the time or after you accepted the Terms and Conditions of your loan.

You also did not make arrangements to cancel your PPI within the 30 days cooling off period. This would suggest you were happy with your loan and the associated PPI and the way this was sold to you.

There is therefore no evidence to suggest the policy was mis-sold or that we should refund your insurance premiums.

    What you can do now

If you choose to reschedule your loan without insurance your account number will change. In this case we will honour the original APR of 9.9% and arrange to remove the resulting credit search.

If I do not receive your cancellation form within 14 days I will assume you wish to continue with the PPI cover”

The letter states the decision final, and includes details for referral to the FOS.

Hummm, where do I go from here please?

    Hi there hun

Fobbing you off in their conclusion..

So basically they are saying if you cancel this but its another loan without the PPI?

If your not happy with this , I would most definately take this to the FOS, because myself personally would not want another loan, but that is your choice really hun.
So they will not be refunding you anything this way then I take it?

Update on my attempt to reclaim PPI from Egg...

I sent the first template letter about 4 weeks ago, and got an immeadiate reply saying the standard "we will look into it, we have up to 8 weeks etc etc".

Today I got another letter saying "It's been nearly four weeks and we have not been able to reach a conclusion yet....I can confirm our enquiries are continuing..."

Is this a good sign in that they haven't just dismissed it, or is it simply a case of they haven't had time to look into it yet?

I'm guessing it's the latter, I think I'm just clutching at straws for any kind of indication that this may be successful :rotfl:
