This is great and its all coming out now.
No wonder these type of complaints are never ending, maybe there is a light at the other end of the tunnel then. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi Hikui
How long has this complaint been with them ?
If they do not respond within the 8 weeks you can still ask the Financial ombudsman service to investigate your complaint for you.
So they require more information from you regarding your PPI complain then?
This can happen, but just keep an eye on those 8 weeks, good luck and please keep us posted.;)
I got the letter through *just* as the 8 weeks was coming to an end, the letter also makes mention that they 'aim to resolve any issues within 4 weeks' and will notify me if it's going to take longer - so it seems, as some of you have said, like a way for them to buy time.
I've sent the information off - it was clarification of any address changes etc - and will wait to see what happens. At this stage i'm happy to be patient, give them their 4 weeks and see what happens...or should I be getting militant now!
Thanks for all the advice ^^0 -
Hi All,
This is my first post!! But basically wanted some info. Not related exactly to PPI. So I am just sending a request to Black Horse about PPI and remembered they charged me for defaults I don't know exact figures but I remember them being excessive. Can I make a separate claim in the style of bank/credit card charges?
Thanks

Hi again Di, just confused on a some of the wording in my offer letter. In my 2 previous accounts 8% interest was added in the final totals, but in the open account it says " i have calculated your refund with premiums on your PPI and the adding interest paid on those premiums. deducting from this figure a rebate of premiums up to todays date gives a figure of £4155.14 this is the amount paid on the PPI to date adding 8% interest to this figure creates your total refund amount. have they added the interest with figure, or has it still to be added. Because in the account breakdown they have a 8% credit interest figure of £269.50 which equals the settlement amount, where as i make it £332.40 on top of the settlement amount. Have they worded it wrong and can i exploit it!0

Hi Lizzie,
Yes it is if you require all the information they hold on your account.0
