@23.20 mins in.
Thanks to Dave at VTTV.
ps, if you carry on watching for a bit afterwards, they touch on the safety of them as well.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
Thanks they have been a great help, so I now know I want more PG in my e-juice as I don't like to much vapour, funnily enough the e-juice I bought is has a higher percentage of PG to VG and is giving me just enough vapour, but boy is it strong, I had added the e-liquid to the cartridges yesterday, as I read on the all about boards how you should leave it to steep for a bit, and today compared it to some I added just today, and boy there is a big difference, think I will order some 12mg e-liquid as 18mg a bit to powerful.....but still enjoying it, so vaping less with it. So starting to learn

Hi,
Wondering if anyone could help me, I've just found this thread and read through all of it, I am so confused though!
I used to smoke about 20 fags a day and over the past couple of months I have cut down to about 8 a day, I cant seem to get any lower than that though! I have tried to quit before by using patches and inhalers but they just don't seem to work for me.
I bought one of those cheap disposable 10 motives E-cigs but haven't used it yet so might give that a go tomorrow to see what it's like.
I really have no idea what I'm supposed to be looking for though...
where are the best places to look for these?
How long do they take to charge? do I need to buy extra batteries?
How often do I need to change the cartridge bit?
I keep reading something about 'Juices' what is this?
sorry for all the questions!
Thankyou =D0 -
The best thing to do, is to go to http://allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/index.cgi and ask the same questions tbh.
Start your own thread on the absolute beginners board and go from there. We are well used to complete beginners who haven't a clue coming over, we all started ourselves that way, the forum is friendliness personified itself and no one will treat you like a leper because you don't know what you want.
The cheap disposable you have, can let you find out if you like the idea and if it might work for you. It's from far the best e-cig, but you may get the general idea.
Most of your questions will be better answered there, but the juices question is something that can be addressed here.
Your disposable e-cig comes with an "e-juice" already in the cartridge at the end of the e-cig, it will be filled with a tobacco flavoured juice, the battery built into the e-cig will vaporise the juice into a sort of cool steam, to enable you to "vape" or draw it in.
The better types of e-cigs allow you to fill (or refill ) the cartridge with whatever e-juice you like. There are various types of tobacco flavoured juices and many other flavours also. In fact there are hundreds of different flavours of e-juices, you have lots to choose from.
Hope that helps a bit, you can pm me, or any other e-cig users on this thread if you want more info and you don't fancy going to another forum yet and we will be glad to help.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
I am so confused though!
Don't even try to understandHave a go with your 10Motives disposable, that will give you some idea of whether e-cigs can help you kick those last few fags.
If you don't like the flavour, remember that there are scores of flavours to choose from; if you don't get a satisfying "hit", remember that there are much better models you can buy. Just see how you go, and report back here or join us on AllAbout via the link Lotus Eater gave.
You've done fantastically well already, I couldn't even cut down and the more I worried, the more I smoked, so e-cigs were a blessing for me.0 -
If you're wondering why I haven't posted on here it's cos I'm still reading the posts (is taking me days
)
Thanks for the reproof V on the SST.
Hope everyone is well. I personally started on the titan when it was offer and hated it..then I progressed to a 14500 box mod from LF (not brilliant but better) and then onto various other things (like the E-V1 from UKV which even survived being dropped on a bus in Glen Coe. Remember those? Ref50 has stopped making them)...Now on 18650 battery mods and quite happy. I know they're huge but happy.
Only prob lately I've had is one of tanks (seem to be all the rage right now) cos I can't justify dual coils on my mod and cartos but that's been sorted now...

Quick reply back to prepareathome - I've just weighed my Riva and it's 44grams which is about the equivalent of two bags of crisps, half a hairbrush, one and half dime bars - I would compare it to a nice stainless steel Parker pen weightwise. Don't know if that's a help or not hun :-)11th Heaven prizes Number 103
