Quick reply back to prepareathome - I've just weighed my Riva and it's 44grams which is about the equivalent of two bags of crisps, half a hairbrush, one and half dime bars - I would compare it to a nice stainless steel Parker pen weightwise. Don't know if that's a help or not hun :-)
Don't forget charging doubles it's weight.

:rotfl: OK sorry, couldn't resist that, that's the sort of thing that if someone said it to me, it would make me think twice, even though I know it's rubbish :D

Thanks for that it not weighed the gamucci but I reckon about the same. I am hoping that my batteries and cartomisers will last me till end of month as money a bit tight this month so a big outlay on a new e cig really is something I don't want to do.

    .

I realised yesterday an e cig that does not look like an analogue would be sensible, went for a hospital appointment and afterwards waiting for hubby to collect me - standing outside (he drove off to park off grounds to save paying for parking on grounds) I was vaping and I got out my e cig, and before I even put it in my mouth a security guard came up and said no smoking in grounds so I explained what it was and dug out card with explanation of law that came from gamucci and after humming and hawing he let me use it but I had to stand well clear of door. He told me he had never heard of them so was going to ask for a ruling to be made by the admin on them so I gave him the gamucci card to show them, I have another. I explained about nicotine and how it was not the nasty in analogues and he was surprised he thought it was that, that caused all the lung cancer, dangers of passive smoking etc and it made me realise just how ill informed even smoker are as to what it is about analogues that are dangerous ( this guy was a smoker himself).

I think I am going to print out an explanation about nicotine to keep on me for future ref to educate people.

? I am putting 12 drops of the e-juice in my cartomisors and finding so far am using about 3/4 a day ( when no more vapour I then refill it and put it aside for later as I have 23 to play with. Does this sound about right - should I put more drops in or less do you think. So far none of the cartomisors have packed in, all heat up well and stuff inside still looks fine. I am using Gold and Silver and also have, but not tried yet RY-HI 5 ( one of the samples you can buy of the range by someone I forget who just now)

Spot on, I didn't dare take my look a like out when I went to pubs or restaurants. It just is too hard for the staff to realise you aren't smoking and I'm not the type of person that likes confrontation, for confrontations sake.
I took the riva with me, which even then was too much like a nasty for me. Now I've got something even bigger and would happily vape it out, although I do know I'm asking for comments and funny looks.

I do remember when I started vaping, I was astonished at the huge vaping machines some people were using and me and the OH used to laugh at people using them out on youtube.
Now I've got one! :rotfl: So I do realise how weird they look to the general public.

Fantastic on the 2 weeks btw :)

  • Lotus-eater - Thankyou for the website, I have spent the last couple of hours reading through some of the threads and looking at the different E-cigs.

Veronarona - I had a go today with the disposable one I have, it was ok...left a funny taste in my mouth though and found that it didnt give me the right kind of 'hit'...but I havent had as many real fags today though!

Thanks for your advice, I'm going to go read abit more on the other forum now!
  • Preparedathome - I've been thinking about your question re weight. I have arthritis in my thumb joints and after giving this some thought I feel that the larger Riva is more comfortable to hold than my cig-alike thingy. HTH

I was seriously believing this until I scrolled down, I was about to test it out on my digital scales :rotfl:

TBH, I've no idea on the size of your cartomizers.

But if it's working for you, then it's working, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.
If you put too much juice in, then it will leak out, too little and it will taste burnt when it runs dry.
I tend to vape for a while and continually top up the one I am using, every little while.
