ciggies dont usually make me laugh ... l hate them with a passion [ no not an ex smoker and never tried YUKK ! ] my vice is wine so lm no angel :D
BUT l nearly wet myself [lm at that age ] when my sister was so stressed out she lit the end of her electric one :rotfl::rotfl:

now shes back to those stinky others  oxygen over here pse

Och maybe her liquid wasn't strong enough. Get her to try again with the next level up in liquid. I had a social worker who had a problem with huge cravings after 3 weeks. Got her to get the next level up of e-liquid (don't know where she got it from. Some site her boss recommended) and now she's fine :T.

Yeah anyone any idea how long air mail letters are taking to come from the states right now? I've been waiting 2.5 weeks for my latest e-cig (only £20 - very MSE) and getting a tad worried

  • Hi everyone,

Just want to say that e-cigarettes may look confusing to most folks to begin with. But they aren't, they can be as simple as you want them to be & no harder to get used to than lighting a real cigarette.

Yes, there are lots of different models out there - some so over priced for what they are, it's almost criminal :( My main aim ever since I bought my first e-cig has been to let as many people know about how much they could help smokers - especially where other methods have failed. And secondly, to help folks find the best e-cig at the best price for them :)

So please, don't ever hesitate asking any questions.

3 weeks no ciggies thanx to my ecig and support from the allabout forum.....deffo if you have tried other methods and failed, which i have done plenty of times, ecigs are the way to go!!

Best thing about them is normally if i give up i undergo a severe personality change...with my trusty riva, im still me......

Good luck to all of us!!
  • You are doing so well Jacci, especially with the pain, I understand that all to well, as I have chronic pain 24/7 and to be honest never in a million years thought I could give up the smokes. Spending a lot of time in bed - as you are doing - does make it appear as if it will be harder to stop as you cannot do something else. The e-cig is fantastic and now I have my Riva as well I am so happy. Its not the same as a look a like cigarette I have found, but then still got my look a like if I get the craving for a real one, as I know it works.......

Hope you are out of pain soon

    Hugs

  • Sorry to jump in here, but I know a few people who have switched to e-cigs and never looked back. I just ordered one for my gran to try from a site called el cigarette and it was £13.99 for a starter pack. Its the place where one of my friends gets his. I figured for that price its worth a try! Will let you know how she gets on.

i went to the mecca bingo last night and was refused permission to use my ego riva  and got thrown outside to the smoking quarters lol..(even though they knew it wasnt smoking they have had issues before where other people have complained)

however i managed to introduce the ecig to the smoking quarters and let the ladies try my ecig with the unused cartridges that i dont get along with (i prefer a bud atomiser)....all i can say is they were very impressed.

4 weeks tomorrow - no cigs and love my riva
    Give blood - its free
  • So pleased to hear you are loving your Riva Fsdss :) And congratulations on the 4 weeks :D

Oh & very well done introducing e-cigs to the bingo smokers :D
  • A very heavy long time smoker friend came over today, he ended up taking an sd mini and some liquid with him. :) Got a call from him earlier and he's only had five rollies since 1.30! :D The e-cig goodness is spreading :)
It's all due to this thread I started on them, and since then my other half, my friend and his other half have started :) Thank you!! :)

I think it's down the the fact that e-cigs look like you are smoking too much.
I bet it's the smokers themselves that are complaining, or the rabid anti smokers. Jealousy, or ignorance.

I'm starting to get a bit confused why smokers, or ex-smokers, seem to be the loudest complainants re e-cigs.

They seem to agree (if you really push them) that it's better for you than smoking, yet they still want to stop vaping. :wall:
