Electronic Cigarette

Well done Pinhead & Mrs Pinhead
"They said that this means you now get more puffs but the same level of nicotine."
That is total tosh!
Re the "harshness/ making you cough" it's best, to begin with, to not direct inhale on an e-cig. By that I mean draw the vapour into your mouth & hold it there for a second before inhaling it into your throat.
Looking at the cartomisers that have come with your e-cig, I think there is a good chance 510 cartomisers could fit it.0 -
I was just looking back at Isaac's earlier post where she said she was smoking up to 60 cigs a day - so was I - after over 50 years of smoking I'd graduated to hopelessly chain-smoking unfiltered Golden Virginia, I had honestly resigned myself to a stinking, painful death - which may still happen of course but I'm free now - then I saw the words "Have you tried these electronic cigarettes" on an eBay forum and my little heart leapt in a strangely optimistic manner as I read the thread... :T
Sorry, just having a drama queen moment
Congrats to Mr & Mrs Pinhead and thank you for enriching us with your presence

veronarona wrote: »As your wife is a light smoker, the following kit should suit - it is very good value because, unusually, it includes 2 atomisers with the 2 batteries, plus a 10ml bottle of juice as well as the 5 "Marlboro" cartridges of varying strengths that you get with most kits. One battery is auto (it is activated when you puff) and the other manual (you press a button to activate it - most of us graduate to manual batteries sooner or later). It's a Dutch company - one of us (All-Abouters) ordered juice on the 12th and it arrived today, the shipping charges are not bad at all:

Only thing is, I can't see that you can choose a flavour or strength for the 10ml juice - they do do menthol, so I'm going to ask them if it can be specified and how.
I expect that the supplied carts will be unpalatable to a menthol smoker, so to get started I suggest rinsing the "stuffing" in warm washing-up liquid and then plain water and pat them dry; wash and rinse the carts themselves. Then replace the stuffing and drip in e-liquid, squidging the stuffing up and down with pointy tweezers or suchlike.
If MrsDrake would like to join us at All-About, where there are long-term vapers (2 years plus) and newbies too, we can point her to where she can get fabulous stuffing and gorgeous minty juice, and she will be welcomed with open arms and any stoopid questions she'd like to ask will be answered with a smile

I have messaged the company re the juice flavour.

Hi Veronarona - thanks for your very informative post. I have finally got around to ordering the above that you suggest but the link is now out of date (and the site looks very complicated to me). If you wouldnt mind could you post the link again as above and I will follow your very helpful suggestions?
Many thanks...0 -
Hi Bobby - I'm onto it, just letting you know so you don't feel neglected
The offer may be finished but I'll see what I can find.
v.
Yes, they still have a good value 510 kit with 2 atomisers but the bottle of juice is missing so there are only empty cartridges with it:
http://www.easy-eliquid.com/products/EASY-510-Electronic-Standard-KIT-%252d10-days--d.o.a.-garantuee.html
Here's a Mint 10ml bottle - I would recommend getting the High 16-18mg because you can add a little Vegetable Glycerine (from the supermarket baking section) if it's too high nicotine:
http://www.easy-eliquid.com/products/Liquid-nicotine-Menthol-10ml-Easy-PG.html
Here's the page of tobacco flavours:

They have lots of different permutations to choose from but I'm just trying to give you a simple starter guide.
Without going back to your post I don't remember if you both want to start or just the wife.
The most important thing is to get started! You will very likely develop and change and want to move on to bigger/stronger e-cigs, but the above is a decent starter kit.
You will need a travel adapter for each charger plug - I bought mine in Superdrug for about £3.
I'm here and will respond asap if I get email alerts thru, but honestly, you'll get more help from my dear friends on our forum and they may know of alternative offers:

Pity it's Christmas and snowy so you're unlikely to get anything in time for Christmas.

they really are an easy going bunch who also monitor this thread.
there is no sales pitch, no favours given to any supplier, no think as we think speeches that you get on many forums.
they really are a great helpful bunch who will only help you every step of the way.

Many thanks all for your informative posts. The cig is for my wife - I have been hassling her to give up for 12 or so years and she does seem quite keen to try these so not going to miss my opportunity!
I will hopefully order these tomorrow (will let you know what I get) and hopefully arrive by New Year. Will keep you informed how she gets on.
Merry Xmas everyone!0 -

Thanks for posting, Fi
It's been great to see you "take to it" like a duck to water, it took me 6 days to come off tobacco completely, but when I think how steeped in smoke I was, and for how many decades, that's pretty darn good
