I agree Boolily, OKsmokey is one of the good UK suppliers
I now mainly use drip tips - just dripping a few drops into them is no more faff than lighting a real cig
The all about e-cig forum is going from strength to strength with over 50,000 posts - so many people looking for an alternative to smoking & we are still constantly looking for the best unbiased deals for everyone

My uncle tried an electronic cigarette and was quite successful in using it to stop smoking. He first used it to lower the amount fo cigarettes he normally would smoke and then eventually was able to brin git down to nothing, ok every once in a whjile he takes a puff of the electronic cigarette but it does him no harm. So i think these things are a great step forward and should be embraced more as a stop smoking aid than a fad, and the governtment should really look into legislation making them available through the nhs as a stop smoking aid!:A0

I've been looking at vapourtrails.tv - they look at all kinds of things to do with e-cigs, and they're a good laugh, too.
As far as using one goes, I've had mine for two years now, and I think they're a brilliant alternitve way to get my nic fix.0 -
I vape since couple of months and still into it. Here is a 20% off coupon code: www. new-smoke.com/forum/21-v2-electronic-cigarettes/exclusive-v2-cigs-coupon-code-472.html (sorry, not allowed to post a link) I think it's only valid till end of July...0

I've smoked for 16 years. I purchased a DSE901 after reading this thread. I won't say where from as it will only make me look like a spammer. I've used nicotine inhalers before but this e-cigarette is in another league altogether. Absolutely amazing. It tastes a little like tobacco, but I do miss the smell slightly. However, the sensation of blowing smoke is the key for me.
I spent £60 on the starter kit and some accessories and liquid and have just spent another £80 to ensure I am stocked up for as long as possible. I really think this could help me quit for good. This kind of expenditure may not exactly be 'money saving', but who cares about money when your health is at risk?
Thanks OP for starting this discussion.0 -
Really good to hear so many folks are finding e-cigs to be such a fantastic alternative to smoking :T0

E-Cigarettes curb that craving without burning and combustion. The perils of cigarette smoking are due mostly to the smoke itself, rather than the actual nicotine. That means the smokeless cigarette bypasses many of the riskiest parts of being a smoker.

When I first started reading this thread I saw all the rabid anti-smoker comments and reports from people who had not used an e-cigarette ,so I thought "here we go again".
I can report that I have been using an e-cigarette for a couple of weeks. I had thought I would never be able to kick the habit of wanting a cigarette but the e-cigarette is the one to work for me. I have tried patches, chewing gum, nicorette tablets, mini-tabs, and original nicorette device. Nothing worked.
I got my e-cigarette from Totally Wicked. I got a starter kit for £16. I should have bought a more advanced kit for £50 as you need extra batteries and vaporisers. The liquid comes in a whole range of flavours and nicotine strengths. I still have the occasional real fag. I have gone from 30 a day to about 3 a day but the e-cigarette will probably knock those on the head as well.
I was a sceptic and now I am a complete convert.0 -
I ordered a SkyCig from www.skycig.com about 2 months ago and have not smoked a proper sigarette since, at the time I was on 20+ JPS Silver or Mayfair Smooth a day.
I did have a puff of a Marlboro light after about 3 weeks and it made me feel quite ill.
The only drawback with SkyCigs is that their cartomizer refills, which combine the presoaked liquid cartridge and atomizer into one unit are quite expensive, they were working out at about £3.50 a day when I was buying them in bulk but that was cheaper than the real thing.
For the last month I have been refilling their cartomizers with ejuice bought from the net and the effect has been pretty good and ejuice sells for about £4 for 10ml and that will last me over a week.
The only downside is that I have not been able to find a juice that tastes like SkyCig's "Marlboro" flavour but this may actually be a coffee flavour as I noticed on their US website (BluCig.com) that they do not have a "Marlboro" flavour, only coffee.
The kit from SkyCig is really good with a case that charges the batteries when you are out and about but I have had a couple of batteries fail outside the 30 day warranty period.0
