I read that as a positive post from another positive poster.
Negativity seems to be coming from you.

If you were able analyse the results I would speculate (which is what your'e doing) that the vast majority received the email direct to their inbox

And I would speculate you are completely wrong in your speculation.

There are a huge number of Icesave investors who invested in Icesave due to moneysavingexpert.com and nearly all the ones posting in these threads report they have not got the initial email. The number of people who reported that the email came through with no action on their part was tiny and essentially they were generally people with email accounts on which they had already previously deactivated all spam filtering.

I still believe people who got the first email without any issue would still come to the forum and post because the first email prompts to then what to raise the question "but when will we actually get our money back".

Not according to this poll so far.

  • Who cares whether you do or do not get the email anyway?

Why not just log in to Icesave every 2-3 days and see if the FSCS initiate button is working for you?

    End of story.

    End of worry.

Well a 40% failure rate is huge for something like this and in any case there was no answer allowing you to say "the first email has not shown up in any way at all". The results of the poll will therefore be unfairly skewed by that omission.

Still 60% that reported their email came through - not exactly the "tiny" amount that you referred to earlier.

My first mail ended up in the junk mail box but in outlook you can then mark the mail as not junk and to trust future mail from that address (which is what I have done). Hopefully my second e-mail will by sat in my inbox tomorrow!

But the rate of postal delivery would have been 99.9%, even if recorded delivery had not been used.

It is not acceptable to have a 40% failure rate in communicating on an issue of this importance. Even a 5% failure rate would be unacceptable.
