New Kaupthing CHAPS/BACS Transfers discussion - Friday 24th October

Hi again all....
I have just sent this to Watchdog via their Website. Gonna try all angles now!
I was amongst the many who lost money when Kaupthing Edge was put into administration, then then taken over by ING earlier this month.
While many savers have been re-united with their money there are at least 500 of us who have not. It seems to involve a specific date 8th October, when Chaps requests have been 'lost' by KE and not paid into linked accounts.
If one were to believe the statement on the ING website, then everyone prior to 20th Oct has had their money. Not so.
ING have put forward NO solution to our dilemma, and we are now in despair as to when or where we will get our our money. ING will not talk to us or explain what happened, but keep offering false promises and dates which pass unexplained.
Please please help us.
I am on the MSE forum and if you log on there you will see about 80 of us sharing the same problem.
I write to you in the hope that a phone call from yourselves will make it happen for us.
Many thanks for reading this, Isobel Beeton, on behalf of many.

Dan, where's the ING Spokesperson now?
Last update on the ING website was Thursday 18:00
I/we still have £50k chaps 7/10 to be paid, my first chaps was paid OK, why not this one?
KE/ING helpdesk today is useless, ING-Direct is an absolute national disgrace

Just posting to add to the thread.
I am also one of the unlucky few it seems.
Money transferred after 2pm on the 13th of October. Still no sign of the money in my linked account. Have been checking every day.
Thanks for the updates to this thread. I just telephone the helpline number and gave my details.
As others have been informed, my case will be investigated and them aim to contact me by telephone within the next two working days.
Have to sit tight then and keep calm.0 -
Well done Isobella good angle, lets hope Watchdog have not finalised all their articles for transmission on Tuesday.0

Just got home and was greeted by a call from KE saying that I should receive my cash by close of business tomorrow!!!
I asked why it wasn't here by last Friday, was there an explanation, she said it wasn't by name, but said that the 7th/8th payments were backlogged and were being done in batches and the batch that mine was in had been signed off and should reach my account by tomorrow.
Can't wait for tomorrow, hope you are all getting your telephone call backs, and receiving some welcome news, just now waiting for the cash to hit my account0 -
Is it the time to take this matter further? I start to get very worried because ING has admitted there is no more delayed payment and all the transactions has gone through!!! I think ING don't know where is our money, can we contact FSA or the treasury?0

The helpful person that I spoke to said that the updates had been a bit misleading, perhaps the administrators were not being completely upfront - I can only speculate - but she said that the remaining payments were coming across via CHAPS and that it should be in my account tomorrow.
I wonder how many in a batch and how many batches they are clearing a day, must be all the remaining ones, as they should be able to clear at least 500 if they cleared 42,000 + in 10 days..........0
