I wonder whether the official web statements will now stop as ING weighs up the public embarrassment of another rapid backtrack compared with the damage that angering a small minority of customers further through no communication will cause.

To the rest of the world apart from us unfortunate souls it’s thought that “the backlog of external payments requested on or before Monday 20th October has now been cleared”. Bravo ING….

Why do they still have my money?!?!?!

I agree edge, ING really look like the good guy's now don't they?

Its the 27th. Still no money in from ING. They say they have put a "Search" on it with the administrators and I will have a phone call or email with an answer by the end of Tuesday, I wont hold my breath!

Still no money for me either and this reply KE customer services:

    "Thank you for your message.

All payments should now be received into the destination accounts.

If your payment is still outstanding please contact a member of our customer service team on 08451 31 32 34. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm, Saturday 8am to 2pm and Sunday 10am to 4pm.

They will be able to capture your details and your individual case will be investigated.

I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause."

Will let you know what happens :-(
  • Hi folks,

Have spoken with ING just and got a couple bits of info which might be of use (nothing 100% definite though i'm afraid)

    1) Everyone who hasnt received there money should contact ING to make sure they get invesitgated individually. I'm sure almost 100% of you on here have, but please pass this on to any friends or family who had savings there.

    2) After you've contacted ING and an individual case investiagation has been set up, dn't expect the money to come for at least 48 hours, to avoid disappointed hopes. ING have said they aim (but don't guarantee) to have cases sorted within 2 working days of you contacting them.

    3) ING says the reasons for the remaining lack of cash range from destination banks bouncing payments (for reasons they are looking into) to incorrect account information.

None of these are solutions for anyone, but just wanted to keep you as much in the loop as we are here. Don't think i've had my fingers crossed this hard for some time - hope we start seeing payments very soon.

I felt exactly the same, but I would phone up anyway, just so that they know (and you know) that your money is missing. For all we know, they could be waiting for people to phone in to know who is missing money... :(

It appears from my conversations with them today that what you have just said is indeed the case. If you don't phone you won't be logged as not having received your funds - even if you have (as I did) contacted them via email / secure messaging. SO PLEASE PHONE.

Transfer out 8th October - CHAPS refund 29 Oct (dated 7th Oct on KE Statement), funds into link Account 31 October 3pm
  • just here in the background offering support, this is such a shambles, surely they can't have simply lost the money? nothing official from them either. what a disgrace. keep your spirits up folks, we're here for you.

Thanks Dan for your info and help, 500 outstanding and all these different banks are bouncing payments, yeah about as true as Iceland banks are safe !!!
  • What ING number should I use, please?
  • Hi all
I have just made a another determined phone call (3rd) to 08451 313234 and was told that the team taking our details are working for the 'administrators'. They are manually taking our details, and passing them on to their 'team leaders' who are 'collating the spreadsheet and putting a trace on the accounts'. I said I had written 3 times via the KE secure messaging since the 8th October, and had no response. And that I now wanted to speak to a team leader for some answers. Oh, they're all out of the office at the moment (fancy that) but someone would ring me back on their return. I said if I had no call by 3pm I would ring again.

I'm going to really push on with this now, and not rest until I find out what went wrong for us. A whole day missing from chaps payments, and no-one at ING notices? It beggars belief. And now they DO know I feel we're gettin the run around cos they need to just pay us, AND FAST.

No offence to Dan (obviously) but I don't believe a word of it.
My bank have NEVER 'bounced' an incoming chaps or bacs and I've done dozens of them and I've double checked the account information.

COME UP WITH SOMETHING MORE BELIEVABLE THAN THAT ING - P'LEESE - DO YOU THINK WE'VE JUST ARRIVED HERE ON BANANA BOATS? (Once again no offence intended to all my friends here).
