I would be more than willing to contribute money. Is this a viable idea?
I too logged in as I could see this was still active.
I cannot believe that you people are STILL waiting.
I'll keep an eye on this as if I can help in anyway I will.0 -
I have to say I'm extremelly perplexed.
Why hasn't the media latched on to the misery we have been (and still are) suffering for almost a month? This is the kind of story most tabloids would clammer for. Yet there's been no mention of our plight, not a jot.
I know it sounds dramatic but the thought that keeps running through my mind is the possiblity of some kind of cover up. This seems to have been pushed under the carpet even though we've repeatedly informed every outlet possible. Noone seems to be listening (or rather they hear us but for some unknown reason they are all ignoring us).2 accounts:-
1/ BACS requested 7th -left KE 8th - funds received Fri 17th
2/ CHAPS requested 7th - left KE 8th - funds received Thurs 30th Oct.
CHAPS fees returned 27.10.08

The FSCS and the Banking Ombudsman are the only independent bodies, as I see it, with an interest in sorting out the fix that those still missing their money find themselves in. The FSCS has an executive role; the Ombudsman is more an umpire of last resort. The FSCS ‘compensation scheme’ was set up by the FSA under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. The FSA is accountable to Treasury Ministers, and through them to Parliament.
This means that anyone exasperated by money still missing should appeal to their MP, saying “please help urgently - either the FSA hasn’t done its job properly, or its job doesn’t include helping someone in my plight”. MPs can be located through http://www.theyworkforyou.com/mp/. That is how it seems to me: best wishes for your progress!0 -

Yes, I agree it is odd. I keep expecting to hear something on Working Lunch, Moneybox, financial sections of newspapers etc..As it has been going on so long do you think that they believe everyone has their money by now?0 -

It is either a cover up, or the fact that ING are prolific advertisers! No paper or TV station is going to upset an advertiser in the current climate. Total corruption all round I would say. But, then again, can't even get an answer from my MP. Does make you wonder doesn't it?0 -

There has been some media coverage, at least on this one man. Perhaps someone should contact the BBC and explain that it is not an isolated case.
I wonder! Are you one of the posters on this forum! If so you would be well placed to get back to them.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/south_east/7705881.stmChaps requested 8th October : money left my account 8th October : £20 chaps fee deducted : destination account Halifax : Chaps fee of 20 re-funded to my KE account 27th October but dated 8th October: On the spreadsheet and received generic e-mail 29th October. Funds paid to my linked account 4th November0 -
No disrespect to people with hard earned and perhaps desperately needed cash in limbo but it appears that there must be a deliberate choke on the outflow of funds from KE/ING coffers. Was ING allowed to put this choke in place by the FSA when they took over to prevent panic withdrawals developing beyond their ability to generate cash at the required rate? Delay in payment, particular if it is temporary, is not such a good news story as actual, or potential loss of money.0

Maybe it would be a good idea to approach an 'anti-Labour' newspaper about this? I'm sure one like the Telegraph would be happy to get the boot in when it comes to Brown/Darling...
I'm happy to contribute to any money stuff, even though I've got mine back. The lack of respect from banks towards their customers these days is ridiculous.
I cannot believe that no payments have come through today. The lack of information and action from ING/KE/Ernst & Young is absolutely disgusting. :mad:0
