    Hi folks,

Have gotten hold of ING and they will be posting a message for the savers who haven't yet received their transfers in a little while (He was just driving home).

Obviously money won't be coming in today now, but they continue to confirm that no money will be lost at all, thousands have been processed and the rest will (touch wood) be clearing into destination accounts early next week.

I can only imagine how frustrating this is, I hope you manage to have good weekends, and rest assured we will keep on this until everyone has gotten every penny back.

    Dan

Dan, this is really not good enough. Most people understand that "no money will be lost at all". That is not the point. Many need their money for commitments. Some will have made further committments on the basis of the misleading information from ING. These are living breathing people, not just numbers on a spreadsheet. As many posters have said ING must show some honesty and must show realistic timescales which don't keep getting postponed.

But I don't understand WHY there no chaps payments (7th, 8th onwards) through today if they cleared the last of them last night, surely there would have been more than a couple of people celebrating................

When I called ing this afternoon to log a report on my missing money, she was adamant that none of the transfers were going out via chaps - they were all bacs.

So if they didn't clear the last of them until last night then those poor souls won't receive anything until next Tuesday. That's how I see it anyway...

I've looked back at the original database I started last Friday (how long ago that seems!) and as far as I can tell there is still no pattern in relation to receiving banks or amounts - however, of the names I can match up, the unreceived CHAPS appear to be some of those that were requested on the 7th (and either left the account on the 7th or on the 8th). Only pattern I can see.

Despite yesterdays announcement that the backlog of outstanding payments had now been completed. it is clear that many people are still waiting for there money

KE / ING should now have the decency to admit that these transfers have actually been LOST during the messy takeover. & what that actually means for those still waiting

    Right hand, left hand..........

I asked threee times today, "the payments that are waiting to come across to us, how will they be coming, and on every ocassion I was told CHAPS" makes tou wonder who the .... does know what is going on doe't it? Won't hold a lot of expectation on it arriving by Monday night then. I will never ever believe another update, statement or anything from KE/ING, I just hope when we have all been finally paid, that the information regarding reimbursement of CHAPS fee repayments and interest will be a lot better thought out.

tmvc you may have a point there. Lets make a count of all those who initiate a chaps on the 7th Oct...I am one of those..

CHAPS fee refunded 27th, dated 7th
  • Uneblievable! The ING contact Dan spoke to was "on his way home in the car" at 5:45pm!!!!

On a "normal day" in the office I don't leave until gone 6pm. They are having the biggest crisis I've seen for decades, people are panicing about their life savings, and ING tell us they are pulling out all the stops to get things sorted. What - by going home at 5:45pm!

I can't believe the complacency of ING. He could of at least pretended he was working hard.

 Sorry to the spelling police, I am still shaking from anger.
  •:confused: I've been optimistic for three weeks that I would get my (only bit of) savings back. I'm now actually finding it really difficult to be positive about it all.

I know everybody says the money is there - and I have to believe that - but this is getting me down, especially with another weekend of uncertainty. How can it take three weeks for these CHAPS payments to be completed?

Anyway, yet again - you lot are the biz!!
