Your money, our vaults
Well done Lewis. Maybe we could teach the Brazilians a thing or two about being sportsmanlike and I can’t believe there is still racism in 2008. Sorry bit off topic but it was a real nail biter.

Sadly I got a note from the Guardian today who don't have space from the story - i hope you don't mind I've given your numbers to the Sunday Times Money desk instead - and fingers crossed they'll do soemthing.

I always get the Guardian on Saturday partly for their very good money section and I rely on that and MSE for personal finance information.
I feel that this story about Ing/Kaupthing was quite important.
Yesterday I noticed there was a big advert for ING on the back page of the Guardian money section. Funny that.
Very disappointed in the Guardian.0 -

With respect! You, come under neither of these, so would not know how we are feeling, or how we, were feeling.
Your Comments, putting ING on a pedestal, at this present time are inappropriate. We will, I am sure, make up our own minds.
Good luck! to all those still waiting for their cash.. Lets hope it will all be over by tomorrow.Chaps requested 8th October : money left my account 8th October : £20 chaps fee deducted : destination account Halifax : Chaps fee of 20 re-funded to my KE account 27th October but dated 8th October: On the spreadsheet and received generic e-mail 29th October. Good News!!
Mrs and Mrs NormanB got back from a weekend away to find that both their payments came through by CHAPS on 31 October. Please take us off THE LIST.
Great relief all round. Going to stay connected to this site because I believe its the only way for us to get to the bottom of what went on and who of E&Y, ING and KE hid behind the obfuscation and made our lives so scary for so long.
I'm also curious to discover what it will take to get these faceless bonus hunting directors to admit that their behaviour towards customers was appalling and the torture they put their own call centre staff through in having to conceal and mislead in so many ways amounted to another kind of abuse.
I will also remain tuned in to stand beside those who have not yet been paid out.
What a bummer.0 -

Let's be clear that only this thread, NOT the whole forum is devoted to KE late payments. In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0 -

Only when there are problems can we see how good a bank actually is. ING Direct have fallen well below the standards required for a bank and their customer service has been at best incompetent and at worst less than honest. I will not be using them again in future as I'm sure a lot of people on here would agree.0 -

I find your remarks personally offensive in much the same way that I find the snide references to me being an employee of ING offensive. Kindly show some character Sir.0 -

To be honest, bjorn_again , I actually thought that my asking whether you are an employee of ING was a reasonable question, not a snide comment, and I thought that your reply was a reasonable reply, not a snide comment.
And I also thought mr arnald's comment re the purpose of this thread was reasonable not snide.
So I'm not clear where the perceived offensive comments have come from - because I've reread all the relevant posts and don't see where the offence is on any side.
Good luck to everyone tomorrow who is still waiting for their money. We are still here for you.KE veteran - life seemed so much simpler then!0 -
