I agree, we have all had enough. I received an email yesterday am from Alastair Hemmings, ING RISK Manager saying Customer services would contact me "shortly" - still nothing, no contact, no money, NOTHING!

  • No Posts since 24/10 - Am I the only person still awaiting a transfer?
I don't think so - earlier today it took them ages to find my name on a list of outstanding transactions (quite a list considering all payments were made on the 20th)
To add insult to injury - I'm now being given the 'run-around' by the 'script readers on the helpline (I use the term loosely), it seems the promise to respond within two working days - which actually took four working days - can result in being advised that 'we're looking into it & expect to get back to you in two working days'
Anybody currently 'controlling' this farce care to comment??

Made my lunchtime call to KE (I'm restraining myself from calling any earlier) and spoke to a young man ...who kept having to ask his colleagues the answer to my questions - not reassuring! A little bit of probing later I discovered the following:

Names are given to them in batches of who the 'lucky people' are and told to ring them.
You do not get onto the 'lucky' list unless:
    a) you have called them and had you account/call 'logged' and
    b) You have waited minimum 48hrs after that
    c) you have received personalised email saying 'sorry but your account has been identified as held up'.
    d) You have waited a further minimum 48hrs - when, if you are lucky, you will be added to the 'lucky' list.

So, I received 'sorry' email yesterday....I know I'm not on current 'lucky list'....tomorrow is Saturday......So maybe I get to be on the 'lucky list' by Monday......money by......Wednesday? What odds will anyone give me?

Gosh I feel great!! Think I will go out and find myself a nice brick wall to bang my head on!!

  • Still no money for me this morning. I have put my CCJ on hold in the hope I get my money today, as several people seemed to be receiving theirs yesterday. May have to think again if I don't see it today. I phoned Ernst & Young yesterday and they say the problem is nothing to do with them. They were only involved in the KSF issue, not Kaupthing edge accounts as that business was taken over by ING Direct immediately on the 8th October. You could get dizzy going around all these circles! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE can my money arrive today. I'm going to phone up again in a minute to check for any progress.

It's strange that Ernst & Young should say that as I emailed them last week through their website (addressed to Maggie Mills) one of the administrators. I didn't expect any success but I got a phone call that evening from one of her colleagues who assured me my money would be in my bank account the next day (Thursday 23rd). When I came off the phone I checked my balance and the money had actually gone in on the Wednesday evening. My savings were certainly with Kaupthing Edge and not KSF.

I think the one hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing.

The named administrators are Maggie Mills, Tom Burton, Alan Bloom and Patrick Brazzill all from Ernst & Young if you google them you can get onto a "contact me" page - that is how I got through to them.

Fingers crossed you all get your money soon. I still have a small amount left in my account, once everyone has got their money I will be getting the rest out as soon as possible - wouldn't trust them now!
