New Kaupthing CHAPS/BACS Transfers discussion - Friday 24th October

Two people received their money this afternoon.0

On 22 Oct I initiated 2 BACS xfers of £100 each from our 2 KE accounts to Smile - both now show in Smile accounts.
BACS is working OK (it seems).
Glad some have received - but can understand how those still waiting must be very frustrated. The only consolation is that as the backlog is reduced it will become easier for KE/ING Administrators/whoever to trace xfers.
BUT that will only happen when manpower is not clogged by people ringing every 2hours, IMHO.
Some have asked what to do with funds - have now put £50k into one Instant Saver account at Tesco Finance (their own financial licence) at 6.5% for first year with instant easy internet access.STILL WAITING for refund of 1x £20 fee plus missing interest on our 2 accounts.0 -

I have still not received my money so i phoned the number given on the update..O845 131 32 34.. I got through to a very polite lady who imformed me that
1)payments were being sent by Chaps
2) there were a small number who were having problems and that they were compiling a list, to be sent to ING, someone would ring me in the next 48 hours to tell me what was happening.
She took my postcode and then took me through security. She then went into my account and we acknowledged how much money i had and when it had been transfered. For the first time in three weeks i actually got to discuss my account, instead of being a generic customer.
Finally she gave me a query ref number and said that it could still turn up today.. Although i have yet to receive my money i do feel a little better now regarding the whole situation.
But K-E were doing exactly what you have described above from at least the beginning of last week when I first enquired. Maybe you didn't persist hard enough but I easily got them to check my account that the BACS I had requested was logged on their system, which it was. The problem all along has been that this is as far as K-E helpline staff can help you; they are unable to let you know whether any action has actually been taken, and if not exactly when it will be taken because they do not have a two-way communication with the bit of the system that actually makes the payments. All this has been discussed many times over in this thread but it's not being read.0 -

I was lucky enough to get my money last Friday but am still keepin an eye on this and rooting for you all. I hope you get it sorted today. Given the hours and hours that I have spent over the past three weeks logging onto my linked account following false expectation created by ING/KE I think that I (and my employer!) would have preferred them to put out a statement on the 8th October saying “We’ve got your money but we’ve got ourselves into an almighty mess so it’s going to take time, really sorry about that”. Disgusting treatment of customers!!!!

Told clearing bank rejected payment - both payments to same linked account0 -
Come on ING spokesperson where are you now???? Speak up when your customers most need to hear from you....0
