I've been in Spain for around 6 weeks without TV & news & I have returned to this  & am confused
so bear with me.
I put £12,000 into a 1 yr fixed term Ing Direct account on 2nd September.
It does say on Martin's site
Fixed Term Product Accounts:
Customers with deposits in a Fixed Term Savings accounts can be assured that these rates will be honoured by ING Direct for the remaining term of the accounts
Should I be worried ? :undecided0 -

No - you opened a term a/c with ING, yes? What they are talking about is the transfer (and or clousre that some folks did) of fixed term a/c's with Kaupthing Edge, which of course folded, and which ING now have (almost!!!) taken control of.
Unless your question was intended to be a bit more pointed - were you asking (indirectly) if you thought ING was safe to go with? The 'Mad' refers to my state of mind, not my degree of anger.... (still crazy after all these years)0 -
Great news Steeppip and Cheekykid. To others: there's still time! My transfer came through between 16.30 and 16.40 this Wednesday, after I'd given up hope. Hang in there, we're hanging with you.CHAPS to Natwest: sent 9/10, RECEIVED 22/10 at 16.350

Excellent Cheekykid...so pleased for you...Money requested 08/10, left KE 22/10 - Arrived 24/100

I'm a bit concerned that the only 2 transfers that have come through so far, include a BACs from earlier this week. I'm not sure when SteepPip's payment was shown as leaving his account - if you are reading this SteepPip - please can you post? I'm not sure whether it was from the period 7th - 11th Oct or not.KE veteran - life seemed so much simpler then!0

Just to say to all those waiting KE told me last week that the i/c transfers cant always be seen by the linked bank, but they can still appear after 4 oclk.0
