I requested a large CHAPS transfer at 3.30pm on 7th October. It showed as deducted from my KE account on the 8th. Despite all the assurances on their website it has not appeared in my linked account (Alliance & Leicester) today. I just rang KE (answered very quickly at least) and they took details of the account number and transfer amount. and said someone would contact me about it NEXT Tuesday. I really am beginning to lose hope. WHY don't KE have a list of all the transactions which got caught up in this mess, so that they can at least reassure me that my transfer is on their radar?0

Really sorry not to be reading celebrations here - there's still time today but I can only imagine how you're all feeling. Still keeping everyhthing crossed that the successful resolution of everyone's financial woe is quick in coming.CHAPS 8th Oct Rec'd 20th Lloyds TSB0

To repeatedly lift everyone's hopes then have them dashed when nothing materlises is quite franklu unacceptable from a so called respected institution, Dan/Martin, please get on to ING before the day passes to ask why nobody has seen a penny returned today, they are misleading us.0

just checked my bank account (again) at 4.40pm - chaps transfer from 8th still not there - my bank say it wont be coming today now so clearly just another weekend of stress.
I am fed up of ING/KE telling untruths. If it is not there by monday lunchtime I am issuing a county court summons on monday afternoon and will be seeking my money, interest and the costs of pursuing such an action. i shall be relying on all of the posts made on the KE homepage by ING about their so called deadlines.0 -
I have still not received my money so i phoned the number given on the update..O845 131 32 34.. I got through to a very polite lady who imformed me that
1)payments were being sent by Chaps
2) there were a small number who were having problems and that they were compiling a list, to be sent to ING and someone would ring me in the next 48 hours to tell me what was happening.
She took my postcode and then took me through security. She then went into my account and we acknowledged how much money i had and when it had been transfered. For the first time in three weeks i got to actually discuss my account instead of being a generic customer.
Finally she gave me a query ref number and said that it could still turn up today.. Although i have yet to receive my money i do feel a little better now regarding the whole situation.
Still with you all. Although I've had my money, I do feel that this posting by 'mrarnald' is very good news. If you can now get ING to confirm the amounts in your individual accounts then suddenly everything is traceable and accountable. Before, when accounts had been debited but no-one knew where balances had gone and had no mechanism to trace them, I certainly felt a bit helpless. Now you can get specific info. which must be a huge step forward.
Just a thought - having worked for a UK Bank until recently I know that Telegraphic Transfers can be received into bank accounts up to the close of business and would not be seen by the receiving bank until it arrived. In some cases close of business can mean 6pm although more commonly it is 5pm. So hang on in there. The cavalry is behind you!!0 -
Clocks go back on Sunday morning so that’ll give them an extra hour to come up with another excuse on Monday (£50k chaps 7/10 to hsbc still waiting)0

Hi all - I too have just phoned KE, got through to sympathetic person (Jane) who explained collation of a spreadsheet being sent to ING tonight of those awaiting money to appear in their destination a/cs. She also gave me the transaction ref for my 7/10 CHAPS request so at least I've got that now.
Will keep on checking my Nwest online but not really hopeful for anything today. Will be expecting contact from ING in next 48 working hours...so that's TUESDAY then!
What a pile of pants...
