Hi guys,

I;ve been reading the thread as much as possible, and have contacted ING repeatedly this week so far - I'm afraid there is no more new information than the last time I posted.

I promise Martin and I (he is filming It Pays to Watch at the moment) are very aware there are still many without their cash and are doing what we can to help speed up the reunion with the money.

I'm really sorry (and frustrated!) there is still nothing more solid!

I'm sure that those still waiting are grateful you're still on the case Dan. However, could I suggest that you consider updating this thread from time to time (once a day perhaps?) with information about what contact you have had with ING and what the response is?

The main frustration for those without money is simply not knowing what the h*ll is going on!!!
CHAPS out 8 Oct KE - received 20 Oct A+L
Still here for moral support.

OMG - KE called today to say that there had been a delay with the system and that my money will be there on.... wait for it... guess which day... yep, FRIDAY!

this is the 4th consecutive Friday I have been promised my cash, I wonder why I am not very confident...
• Nusaver, congratulations!!!!! I hoped when I read about your successful outcome that it might be the beginning of the end; silly me.
• Hi fredthrung,

I've been waiting (hopefully) for some new information, and have been told that any new statements will be posted to this discussion as soon as ING have them.

I've felt that posting without any new details at all is a bit disappointing for people, but am happy to do so if people feel this helps? My posts from yesterday and Monday included anything we knew extra t those points in time. Either way, I am following this very closely so please don't fear that we have forgotten you.

This reminds me of the Black Adder sketch about Kitcheners WWI tactics of throwing the British Troops out of the trenches and onto the German machine guns time after time. He tells his commanders who can't believe he is doing it for the hundreth day in a row "Ah, thats the beauty of it you see. They won't expect me to do it again!".

I wonder how many more Friday Deadlines we will see before this is all over?

Have just phoned my linked account and they cannot see any outstanding items CHAPS, SWIFT or BACS for my account. Doesn't look like the promise of today being payment date will amount to anything. Well there's a surprise! I have asked the Customer Service Manager for an explanation from the administrators what is causing the delay, and he said he'd ask, and that he hasn't been told not to say what the real reason is. Bet you any money (not that I've got any!), that they trot out the old "it's a clearing bank problem"! Has anyone tried calling the RBS to see if they do actually have a problem with KE/ING's payments? If not, I'm going to see if it's possible to find out if they do actually have a problem (don't believe it for a minute).
I have spoken to natwest/rbs who checked there system and confirmed no problems with the clearing bank and if there was money in the system it would be paid into my account without any delay
• I've just emailed MH Treasury and the email address in earlier in the thread bounced.

The folowing email address did not bounce (its all in the hyphen apparently!):-

ministers@hm-treasury.gsi.gov.uk

Please use these agencies to put pressure on ING to honour its obligations to pay customers now, no matter where the missing monies are in the banking system or who is responsible for the problem.

I'm afraid ING will not take its obligations to customers seriously until sufficient of us tell the world and embarrass them enough. ING Directors could make a decision to payout now and clear up after but they don't feel any pressure to do it yet.

Whizz an email to the Financial Ombudsman Service too. He says he can't do anything for 8 weeks but if there's enough pressure, he can have a word informally to push things along.

The No 10 email is down at present but you can fax the Prime Minister on 020 7925 0918. (From outside the UK, the number is +442079250918)
• Well folks for the first time KE have kept a promise and called me back following my posts on page 58. It wasn't the chief I was promised but the team leader I spoke to this morning who said they had been in touch with the department handling the problem cases and that my transfer had been located and addressed with a payment now scheduled as part of a large batch for tomorrow and arriving in my account on Friday or at the absolute latest Monday. Her name was Sarah and whilst my faith may prove to be misplaced I did actually believe her. If you have not phoned the number yesterday or today I suggest you do urgently as it seems they screwed a lot of logged calls up on Fri/Sat and you may not be on the famous 'spreadsheet'. Fingers crossed and good luck to everyone for this Friday... I doubt anything will happen before.

It is a great relief to have you and Martin on the case for us Dan, things would feel a hell of a lot worse if you weren't, but I must admit I am starting to feel like we have been forgotten about.

• Every deadline we are given by ING has been broken with inadequate explanations.
• The latest update still states that everyone has been paid, this is clearly not the case and from the poll it suggests only about 50% of missing money has now been recovered.
• We are receiving poor excuses, that are to be honest, barely believable about the problem being with our external banks, or RBS clearing bank.

Hi all

I am back to this thread again to give my support and best wishes to all of you who still haven't received their money. I hope that it will come through for you too, goodness knows I have suffered some despair until all my money was returned, and cannot begin to imagine how you who are still waiting must feel.

All the best guys and gals, it will come through and then the party will start!
