New Kaupthing CHAPS/BACS Transfers discussion - Friday 24th October

I am no longer patient...I/we have been continually fobbed off with one thing after another. I've sent out emails to the media, ING, KE et al, but I still feel utterly helpless. It's impossible to talk with anyone with any kind of clout...they're all in hiding while we run round like headless chicken. I just wish we had ONE phone number that was useful!!
I don’t understand why Martin, Dan and ING Spokesperson are so quiet0 -
Have just phoned my linked account and they cannot see any outstanding items CHAPS, SWIFT or BACS for my account. Doesn't look like the promise of today being payment date will amount to anything. Well there's a surprise! I have asked the Customer Service Manager for an explanation from the administrators what is causing the delay, and he said he'd ask, and that he hasn't been told not to say what the real reason is. Bet you any money (not that I've got any!), that they trot out the old "it's a clearing bank problem"! Has anyone tried calling the RBS to see if they do actually have a problem with KE/ING's payments? If not, I'm going to see if it's possible to find out if they do actually have a problem (don't believe it for a minute).0

Just spent some time composing a posting on this thread but when I submitted it it seems to have been lost in the ether!! What does that remind you of?? Anyway the drift of it was that, although I am a lucky receiver of the missing money, I have continued to follow this thread closely. ING were given taxpayers money to effect this rescue package. What's happened to this money? Has it gone into some bonus pot? Surely the Treasury should be very angry that UK money has been granted for this project, only to be used to mismanage the process.
To blame clearing banks is just being disingenuous. Having only recently retired from a bank I know that transfers are credited very quickly after receipt. Automated processes govern the whole thing!
Has anyone tried emailing the PM's office? Is it even possible? It darn well should be in a democracy!0 -

Hi guys,
I;ve been reading the thread as much as possible, and have contacted ING repeatedly this week so far - I'm afraid there is no more new information than the last time I posted.
I promise Martin and I (he is filming It Pays to Watch at the moment) are very aware there are still many without their cash and are doing what we can to help speed up the reunion with the money.
I'm really sorry (and frustrated!) there is still nothing more solid!

Well, after queuing and transfers of departments, I got through to a Client Service Manager at RBS (no one I spoke to knew what dept I’d need to see if RBS actually do have a clearing problem). He seemed to be interested in the situation (ie KE/ING blaming RBS for delays), but as he was dealing with another issue at the time of speaking to me, he said he’d track down the relevant dept tomorrow and ring me back tomorrow evening. I explained it was necessary to have accurate information because if it isn't true we need to provide this to discredit the bilge we're being given. Don’t know how successful it’ll be, but it’s worth a go anyway. At least he’d heard of Martin!0

Just had a look to see if the Prime Minister's Office is contactable by email. Apparently it normally is but they are currently off-line due to making some improvements to the process! His office can be faxed though. Don't have a fax myself but thought I'd mention it. fax no. 0207 925 09180 -
I got an identical email response from Kaupthing today as that received by others here. Absolutely nothing useful - and that is after a phone call to them last Friday and again this Monday, plus two emails to them yesterday. All assurances and promises have been broken. Does anyone out there know how we can take legal action?0
