I'm afraid ING will not take its obligations to customers seriously until sufficient of us tell the world and embarrass them enough. ING Directors could make a decision to payout now and clear up after but they don't feel any pressure to do it yet.

Very true indeed! In fact, read their web site (http://www.ingdirect.co.uk/kaupthingedge.asp). Their most updated statement (23 October at 18:00) is that: "We are pleased to confirm that the backlog of external payments requested on or before Monday 20th October has now been cleared." ING has already washed its hands and moved on.

As I mentioned previously, this issue must get out of this forum. For ING and the rest of the world, it's all been cleared already. As normanb pointed out, ING has no pressure to do anything urgently.

I have requested KE to remove that statement. It is false, misleading and it is an insult to all of us who have not received our monies. Let's see if it happens by tomorrow.

I received my £20 chaps fee refund today 29th October. It was listed as a "manual transaction" and dated 8th October.

I am still awaiting my Savings of 25K requested by chaps on the same date 8th October.

Still at least I can use that £20 to buy some more alcohol, because if I sober up I am going to start to worry. LOL
Chaps requested 8th October : money left my account 8th October : £20 chaps fee deducted : destination account Halifax : Chaps fee of 20 re-funded to my KE account 27th October but dated 8th October: On the spreadsheet and received generic e-mail 29th October. Funds paid to my linked account 4th November

I have decided to seek a County Court judgment which will cost £210 but I'm claiming that back as part of my overall claim. The more you claim the higher the fee.

Suggest if enough people decide to act similarly, then they will pay all oustanding monies to avoid the risks of mounting costs.

asavory1969, when will you get a hearing? how fast does that process take? Please keep us updated with your legal process.

I'm also thinking of taking legal action. thanks

    Hi folks

I’m glad to see a couple of people had some good news today but really stunned that the same old rubbish is coming from their call centres. Lets’ hope this nightmare is over sooner rather than later.

I'm off to get legless soon, I will check forum through beer goggles later.

ING have a massive technical procedure to carry out, and no pressure from any media outlet is going to make them do this quicker.

I really don't want this post to be negative, or detract from the focus of this thread which is giving as much info as we have or can get to people still waiting for Kaupthing transfers. You, and everyone else are doing a great job of supporting each other, and all I can say is keep it up, and I promise we will too.

Dan, that's a very concerning statement from you. So what are you saying, let's all just keep writing in this forum, no need to get it out (ie. to the media)?

ING was able to return the monies of 95% of their savers thru two self imposed deadlines 17th and 23rd. Why is the remaining meager and manageable 5% so difficult to execute? Why can't we get us another and final deadline?

Going around in circles with all kinds of theories and stories and all trapped in this forum, won't get our monies back!

Don't get me wrong, this forum has been extremely helpful to me to interact and read experiences from other KE savers. But word MUST get out that 5% of KE savers have not received their monies yet.
