Still not rec'd BACS done 6th Oct. Spoke to young man last night - I am on the spreadsheet. Got an email today - the money is with the bank handling the payments ? RBS/NAT WEST ? Need to empty my husband's account. Can I rely on their 3 day promise as shown on the web site for current BACS transfers?0

Pleased to confirm that we have cleared the backlog of payments that has occurred after the Kaupthing Edge business was transferred to ING Direct on 8 October. As you will see from the copy of the note below, that has been posted on the Kaupthing Edge website, the Administrator is now clearing these final payments.
UPDATE: WEDNESDAY 29TH OCTOBER, 19.00
PAYMENTS UPDATE:
Since the Kaupthing Edge customers and savings balances were transferred to ING Direct on 8 October we have been working with the Kaupthing Edge Administrator to resolve a backlog of payments. We can confirm that a total of 57,000 payments have now been cleared. This didn’t happen as swiftly as our new customers would have wished. Some customers have questioned why ING Direct did not use its resources to solve this problem more quickly and the answer is that in the short term we have to continue to use the Kaupthing Edge systems. We are planning to move customers onto our own systems as soon as possible.
There are still outstanding payments that need to be resolved and the majority involve payments originally requested between the 6-8 October. This was at the time when the company went into administration and before the transfer to ING Direct happened. The Administrator tells us that these payments are now being made and we will be working with them to clear these final payments.0 -
ING has (at last) posted an update on the site http://www.ingdirect.co.uk/kaupthingedge.asp timed at 7:00 pm

Someone may have already replied to this but if they haven't, the clearing bank is a third party bank, not the bank where your linked account is. I think someone said earlier that the clearing bank was Nat West and this is apparently where the supposed hold up is.2 accounts:-
1/ BACS requested 7th -left KE 8th - funds received Fri 17th
2/ CHAPS requested 7th - left KE 8th - funds received Thurs 30th Oct.
CHAPS fees returned 27.10.08

Just had my £20 CHAPS fee refunded today 29 10 08. dated 8 10 08. Only interest to go now and I can rid myself of this nightmare forever.
They are doing something. Hang on in there folks.
Now it really is time for my annual bath and 15-20 pints.0 -
Anybody save the previous statement from last Thursday? The amendment seems to contradict it. Once again we're not getting the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. My transfer was on 8th am. But it arrived on 20th. How do these dates tie in with the latest statement on the ING site?CHAPS out 8 Oct KE - received 20 Oct A+L
