  • I am surprised no-one has been on here since 29th - have you all vanished into the ether looking for missing money?? I was just going to post that I had also received one payment of £20 CHAPS charged when my money left KE, but not the one charged when my cash arrived into my home account.

Still keeping my fingers crossed for everyone else, and thanks to everyone who controbuted to keeping us all sane throughout the last three weeks!!!

I was paid my interest this morning up untill I withdrew my money on the 7th, I called KE this morning and the interest for the period between withdrawing the money and it appearing in linked account (which for me was 10 days) will be credited at a later date when they have finished sorting out everyones payments.
  • I also received all the interest for October except for that due on the amount I withdrew on 9th and received on 22nd. This amounts to about £30 short. I have still not received the refund of the £20 deducted from the transferred amount.

However, I have been informed by KE/ING that the "lost" interest has to be calculated manually and added to the account, whereas the routine monthly interest is done automatically. This means it will be a few more days before they can complete it. Understandably, all their resources are focused on getting people their capital transfers completed first, so I for one am not going to pursue my interest until that has happened.

Things are looking promising on the main thread, although inevitably there are still a few unlucky souls still waiting.

I guess from now on I'll be a bit more careful about choosing where to put my hard-gotten retirement nestegg.

    Cheers

I received my interest this morning and see that it was paid up to withdrawal of the bulk of the savings on 7th. I received the transfer finally on 29th so that interest is missing. However, seeing that people have already phoned KE about this, and it is in hand, I will leave them to get on with the more important task of sorting out the remaining transfers.

Apologies I originally posted in wrong forum.

I also received interest on my money from 1-6 Oct 08 but not from 7-17 Oct 08 when money lost in BACS transfer saga. KE/ING advise it will be paid but dont know when. However, what happens after they eventually pay me my interest from the period they delayed my BACS transfer (Obviously they dont know yet when this will be) as I assume as they have not paid this at the end of Oct 08 they will now have to pay me lost interest on the delayed Interest payment from my delayed BACS transfer. Unless KE and ING get their act togther this could go on forever. If this is further delayed they will then have to pay me lost interest on the delayed lost interest payment on the lost interest from the delayed BACS. This could end up going on forever until they pay on time. Remember it is your money, dont let them get away with a penny.

It's fairly simple really. Interest is applied to daily balances, so when they do get round to applying lost interest it will be up to date on the day they apply it.

Yes but when will they do get round to actioning the lost interest. If it was us as the customers that owe them they would have sent threatening letters out by now probably costing £30 a time and if payment not forthcoming followed it up with the bailiffs as well.

Do not have any sympathy for them it is your money and any feeling sorry for KE/ING is very misplaced. Should we not be eligible for compensation given the amount of chasing we have had to do as KE savers to get at the end of the day our hard earned money and interest.
