WHY CANT YOU WAIT UNTIL EVERYONE’S GOT THEIR MONEY BACK FIRST !!

While I echo the sentiment of the above statement as I think we should all wait until everyone has they're cash back first before we apply pressure to push for interest/chaps payments I do think that was over doing it.

People in this thread should relax a bit more, if you're here it means you got your cash from KE (still amazed I got mine) shortly, hopefully starting Monday (today's payments pending) ONWARDS!!!!
  • Have a look at the update on the ING/KE website re CHAPS and interest payments.

    It sounds promising to me.

Thanks to 'bigg' for putting the figures into context. The figures are large and, whichever way you look at it, that money is owed to the savers. We should not let a mixture of relief and apathy get in the way of logical argument. This is a commercial transaction and we should ensure that ING treat it as such. It will certainly dilute our approach if only a few of those who have lost out make a claim. If you had £30k invested and you assume an interest rate of a round 6%, you are due about £70 re lost interest over 2 weeks and that does not include any fee refunds to be made.
The announcement does not make it clear when these adjustments will be made or indeed whether it will be necessary to make a claim. Does anyone know?

ERRR ONWARDS.... to this statement to be honest, ripped from their KE link>>>

Interest adjustment and refund of CHAPS fees:
ING Direct will refund the loss of interest on your Kaupthing Edge account that resulted from payment delays. CHAPS fees will also be refunded in cases where the payment was not sent within the normal timescale. An update will be posted on this page next week, giving further information and an update on timings.

    They're on it. Relax.

 DON’T FEED THE TROLLS

I made the mistake of reading the forum without logging on and saw some posts from the revolting Troll. Ignore it, don’t be tempted to answer it, then it will die. My apologies to all newbies,. Please do not take any notice of the revolting Troll. You're all very welcome. I was a newbie, just a few weeks ago.

Add Trolls to your ignore list, then their posts are unreadable.

    :eek:DON’T FEED THE TROLLS

Looks like we've got another one to add to the Ignore list. It's half term and probably a spotty kid thinking they are clever.

why would they refund you for unnessessary phone calls when all the latest updates are on their websites ?

you believe the updates?? why are there 147 people with their funds still in the ether?

of course the cost of the phone calls should be claimed, I think the poor souls who have another week end of worry should claim for the distress also.

i had over £50k in KE, just over £20k in savings acc & £30k in fixed term.
Applied for chaps 6/10 of £20k out of savings to pay lump off mortgage, received it same day in A&L current account. £30k still in KE now ING.
Ive experienced no problems with either bank .
Ive not experienced the problems that a small fraction of the total UK KE savers have had but i do sympathise with them.
Thankfully At least they have not lost their savings forever.
chaps £20k out KE 06/10 in A&L 06/10 same day

lucky you, the trouble stems from 6th and this evening it seems it's mainly people who requested chaps on the 7th that still have their funds in the ether. It seems you got yours out just in time, very lucky indeed.
