The guy said something about the rate being reduced but i didnt fully hear what date he was saying it reduced, because as far as I was concerned it shouldn't have been until way after the 8th October and I assumed he meant early November.

I didn't take any clear record of the interest change dates.

I think that the dates are totally irrelevant. In my (and most other cases), a withdrawal request was made at the original rate, and until it arrived in the destination account (the delay wasn't our fault), that's the rate that should apply.

I totally agree. When I originally calculated my interest, it looked as if they had paid about the right amount, but after reading this I shall re-calculate it a bit more accurately. Thanks for the heads-up.
• I've sent them another message (to follow from my previous message on November 10th) as I still haven't received any interest or my CHAPS fee. Why do we have to chase them to get them to do anything?

I am now even more totally appalled after all the grief of getting my money then further fighting to get my onterets. KE/ING now claim they are not dicttaing what is paid on lost interest this is being doen by teh administrator Ernst and Young and you can guess it you cannot even phone them you have to write. This is absolutrely rediculous and don't let the *******'s get away with this as they are without doubt paying less interest than that due owing to their late payment of your BACS Transfers!!! I estimate they are only paying about 75% of what is due.
• I urge everyone affected to make a threat to complain to the FSO and demand compensation. Every complaint referred to the FSO will cost more money that the outstanding interest so it would be in their interest (no pun intended) to pay up.

Got the answer "Unfortunately at present I am not able to give a definite timeframe for this. Please keep checking our website for further updates."

I got fed up with them and phoned yesterday to close my account. I was told that there is a delay in closing the accounts! Ridiculous as it sounds, I took all the money out of the account to the last penny and asked to be put in the queue to close account...

Now, just hope it arrives in my linked account....

• Just got the following email. It's nice of them to backdate my interest to December the 1st when it is now December the 5th and they may pay my interest on December the 31st. I don't remember saying "Keep the change" to them.

"Further to our previous communication regarding interest adjustments for transactions delayed as a result of Kaupthing, Singer & Friedlander Ltd being placed into administration, we can confirm that your interest adjustment will be completed during December and this will be backdated to Monday 1 December."
• I have also sent two secure messages to them and received two very similar replies saying nothing much. Each promised to push through the outstanding CHAPS re-payment and the outstanding interest would be paid as soon as possible. It is disgraceful that we were made to wait for our money in the first place and are now being further penalised because they still owe us money.

KE are denying that they owe me a CHAPS fee! It doesn't show on the statement but the amount I received was £20 less than I withdrew. Anyone else had this!?
