KE are denying that they owe me a CHAPS fee! It doesn't show on the statement but the amount I received was £20 less than I withdrew. Anyone else had this!?
yes, my son had that same situation. They took a CHAPS fee from the account (now repaid) and then the money received at his linked account was also £20 less. So a double fee and he's still £20 down.
He's spoken to them endlessly about this but they can't see the problem! They blame the administrators, the receiving bank (utter rubbish!) the weather, and the cat being off its milk, anything but try to understand or help to recover this 'stolen' £20 :mad:0 -

I'm in the same position. I have had the "official" £20 CHAPS fee refunded, together with the interest for the delay period, but not the £20 that was short in the amount credited to my linked account. I have been in touch with the KE CS team several times. They say they have informed "the relevant department" and have put a note on my account to this effect, but they are unable to tell me when they expect it to be dealt with. They are unwilling to take any further action until they hear from this "relevant department", so I don't know what else I can do.
Reluctant as I am to let them get away with this, I am beginning to wonder if life's too short to keep stressing about it and will probably just transfer the final few quid of interest out of KE and write the whole sorry affair off as part of the rich tapestry of life.

I didn't take any clear record of the interest change dates.
In fact how could I forget - my account on Kaupthing was still showing 6.55% after I had (eventually) received my money transfer because I immediately transferred it back to into my Kaputhing account because I felt it was now safe after ING had taken it over, and that the 6.55% interest it was still displaying was worth sticking with. So it wasnt until after that, AND after I had then attempted to transfer some of it into a fixed rate account which was then refused, that the interest rate was changed from 6.55%.0 -
I'll give them another week then I'm going to the FOS. They've already been !!!!ing me around for a month. It's more about the principle than the money.0

STILL WAITING for refund of 2x £20 CHAPS fees deducted from funds received plus missing interest due on 40k 2 weeks.
Despite several reminders and messages saying 'all in process' NOTHING has HAPPENED.
I am now in New Zealand and see that ING are having major problems with some of their investment funds here, depositors can not access their funds.
I will now transfer our remaining UK funds from KE/ING asap. I think ING can no longer be trusted.STILL WAITING for refund of 1x £20 fee plus missing interest on our 2 accounts.0 -
I was amazed to see that interest has been credited to my account. It is dated as December the 1st but it didn't hit my account until sometime in the last few days. It doesn't mention a CHAPS fee refund, just an "Interest Adjustment". I've no idea how much the correct amount of interest would be (being that their interest rate changed at some point) so I can't check what they have put in. I'd like to take that money out of the account and close it but I still want my CHAPS fee if it isn't included.0

Got a reply about my Chaps fee question from Kaupthing: -
"The CHAPS refund will show as a separate £20 credit when this is completed."
Looks like I'd better wait until they pay me my Chaps fee back before I close my account.0 -
Well, I've given them plenty of time. Time for an FOS complaint0

One duplicate 20 CHAPS fee just refunded (it shows at same date as original fee taken).
Still one CHAPS fee missing.
Still no missing interest received on either of our 2 accounts.
This is still a mess - ING have done nothing to 'transfer' our accounts access to the normal ING system..... must be run by a half-De-Wit (yes, cheap shot but...).
How on earth does dear Jan expect KE clients to stay with ING when, after 2 months, they have still not integrated us into ING.........
Am currenty in New Zealand where ING funds have crashed and clients can not withdraw funds... so take care with your money!STILL WAITING for refund of 1x £20 fee plus missing interest on our 2 accounts.0 -
I have now made a complaint to the FSO as I have not had a reply to my complaint after 8 weeks as they stated.0
