Morning all:wave:
Like Stressedoutmum I've just run the iron over dd's school shirt. Apparently she only has 2 which makes me wonder where she has hidden the other 2:rolleyes: My lovely daughter does not put away her clean, ironed clothes. Instead she hides them in various places around her bedroom. Why this is easier than opening the wardrobe I do not know
Anyway, on to more interesting matters -food.
Breakfast has been chocolate porridge, toast and apples. Just toast for me and OH.
Lunch is cheese or chicken-liver pate sandwiches, muffins and fruit. I'm having toast and pate and carrot sticks plus an apple.
Supper will be lamb and apricot stew from the freezer with couscous and any salady items from the fridge. My veg drawer is looking a bit bare as Thursday is my shopping day so supplies have run down a bit. Still, that means we're not wasting stuff.
Still haven't cleaned the bathroom. I suppose I'd better do that today. There is some boring ironing to do and more washing -yawn yawn...
Have a good one everyone
Oh and welcome Anwen, just seen your great post on yesterday's thread.0 -
Morning all
Didn't manage to get on here yesterday as I looked after DGD, she is full of cold, so slept for 3 hours in the morning, so I just sat and did some knitting
Work today, so no OS done at all this week, dinner is a sausage casserole done in the slow cooker (and even that is a ready made sauce)
I have loads of apples to use, and someone posted a recipe for apple wine so think I will have a go. I have my demijohns, and know I need wine yeast, so I that all I need ?
Have a good day everyone xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
Thriftlady - my DS 15 is just the same with his clothes, I sometimes think I should just put them away straight from the line and iron them when he wants to wear them, save ironing them twice!!! and I regularly catch him with day before school shirt on even though I iron 5 for him every Sunday
PP - thanks for pm re DD lenses, I read it that she got her new lenses in 3 hrs, not the old ones polished, sorry
Redruby - well done you for giving blood :T
saw GP yesterday, signed off for a further weekI do still feel weak and tired and last night my teeth and gums were so painful
I've got some HM sweet potato and carrot soup left for lunch, OH on a day off so will make him a list for Tesco, will just be basics as I've got mince, tuna and a chicken in the freezer. Tesco doing their 5p off litre of petrol with £50 spend so will make him take calculator and make it up to £50 with cat and dog food, we always get it from there anyway and it will keep
going back to bed for a while now, got up to see DD and DS off to school, DD wants me to dye her hair pink tomorrow for breast cancer awareness and she's got a lovely T shirt form asda to wear

Good Morning All
Didnt get back on here yesterday as in the morning received a phone call to say my Nan had been taken to hospital and she was very poorly. So rushed down with my sister it took about an hour and saw her. She was in a coma - stayed there for about 6 hours then had to come home because of the children. Sadly she passed away 3 hours later.
Kids are staying at home today and we are just having a moochy day. Need to get a couple of essential paperwork things done then thats it.
Sorry Sqiggly - have no idea how the pork stew turned out after all as I totally forgot about it when I went out the door and OH ended up throwing it out.
It will be barbeque pork tonight which was from last night - must have a look at my menu plan and rejig.
