When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “Hi everyone, hope you are all well” type start does just as well.
Morning.
Back to work day. Although it's not until 11 and then it's a training afternoon.
Had a great curry last night, which was made up of reductions at Asda. I managed a Vindaloo which was excellent, the others all came to less than £5 for 6 of us, so a decent bargain.
Went to a large DIY discount store to get some draghtproofing. but they had sold out. I guess everyone had the same idea? I will end up paying a higher price now, no doubt. I also found out yesterday that tyre weights are no longer made of lead, so that's one supply of fishing weight lead out.
well not much else from me... Have a nice day

Hola! everyone
I tried twice yesterday morning to post, but lost both:eek: , so will post this line by line.
Took DC down to the Mar Menor yesterday and had a walk along the flat prom, and called and had a menu del dia (sitting out and looking at the sea). even though only a quarter of our normal walk it was too far, so DH went and fetched the car and picked us up half way back. We then rested and had a sandwich early evening, and then played cards. At 10.30pm she declared her bed time, and just then the bell went and some friends called and we continued the card playing until midnight.
We are doing alternate days of "doing things" respecting her age (almost 83) so today is a easy day at home. Trying to think what is best for tomorrow. Will raid fridge/freezer for the meal tonight. May be something with mince.
Thanks for the update on the weather yesterday SD, she is from your neck of the woods.
Belated birthday wishes Joannasmum, congratulations Churchies, Penpin hope the bloods improve, Snowy congrats on the job at least this isn't agency so you should be able to apply for internal posts, Sorry Dylan is not responding yet.

Morning N9EAV and all who cross and follow,
Am looking forward to the clocks going back at the weekend, really feels like it's the middle of the night. Have been MIA last couple of days, due to work and life. Had to leave work yesterday and pick DS up from school as he wasn't well. He's had a cough for about 2 weeks, so think I'm going to have to take him to the Dr today. I try and avoid going as much as possible but have listened to his chest and can hear crackles.
Big hugs to anyone I have missed who needs one. CANDY how are you doing hun?
Hello to any new peeps and belated congratulations to anyone celebrating.
I cooked curry for tea last night. Tonight I think it will be cheese and potatoe pie made with sweet potatoe and baked beans.
Have a good day all.

Morning N9eav and Donny,
It seems very cold here today, just looked out and the car is covered in frost  will have to scrape it off. Yesterday we had a quick shower of huge hail stones, only lasted a few mins, but they were massive, and bounced off my head when I flew out to get the washing in, a sign of things to come ?
Off to w**k today, so not an awful lot of os going on, but will swipe the kitchen before I go, I will also put the dw on, and put the rubbish out.
We are having a fry up tonight which is nice and easy, and very tasty :T .
I am giving blood today at work, I olny go for the free biscuits(only kidding )
Hope all is well today, hugs where needed.0 -
Morning N9eav, Donny and all who cross/follow
Still very dark here and a bit windy but it dosen`t really seem cold.
Hope that the wind stays as i`ve just put the washing machine on with all the doggie towels and things in so it would be nice to get those dry before i go to w*rk later.
The bm is at the baking stage so the house is full of the wonderful smell of fresh bread and the dw has just finished ready to be emptied.
I have a ham hock in the fridge waiting to be cooked but can`t decide which way to do it, pressure cooker or slow cooker. The sc may win and if so i shall put it on tonight on the economy 7
I hope to finish sewing another curtain this morning so i had better start it soon when i`ve finished in the kitchen.
Catch up later guys and have a good day.

Morning Guys!
Had a decent nights sleep for about 6 hrs which is great for me:D I am staying in today but have the nurse coming to do my bloods later this morning to make sure it has thickened a little. I know its reducing as my head and veins feel lighter....its a weird feeling and cant explain properly.
DD is at home today as she doesnt feel well. She got dressed for school but has now gone back to bed. OH has another 2hr signing lesson today.
WM will be going on soon and the TD may have to be used:o DW needs emptying. House clean and tidy though. Toilet cleaned.
We have nearly used up everything in the fridge as we go away tomorrow. I have a big bag with a few tins, sachets, cereal, condiments sachets, small amount of oil in bottom of bottle, cleaning spray and cloth, loo rolls, t-towels, biscuits, tea, coffee, squash, crisps, fruit juice in it. I am thinking of taking our small freezer bag with ice packs in to take the bacon, butter, ham and cheese we have here and use it up there. Its only 2hrs away, so should travel fine. I have done an easy mealplan for us to follow and there is a 24hr Tesco nearby apparently. Will also take the small heater in case I get cold. I think thats everything, but if anyone can see anything I have missed...please let me know. We will buy fresh stuff there eg. milk, bread, eggs etc.
OH washed the car yesterday and we've filled the car up. We have full AA cover, so if anything goes wrong, we are covered.
Breakfast: Tea & Toast
Lunch: Soup & Bread
Dinner: Pizza & Salad
Have a great day everyone.

Morning :hello:
Yesterday, I was going to cook til the freezer was full. I went to get the dishes and pots out and most were missing. I peeked in the dishwasher and there they all were, complete with burnt on food (what's that about? the food must have tasted rubbish). While I've been washing up, Mr troo has been slowly filling the DW over the last few days  With just the stuff HE'S used  I wasn't going to run it three quarters full so I left it, he ran it overnight but not hot enough so it hasn't washed properly. I'm not sorting it, it can stay where it is.
So no cooking and baking here. I'm having the next couple of days off. I don't know why I make the effort to save time and money and he does the complete opposite.
I'm going to FIL's this morning to tidy and clean, then I'm coming home to watch TV and eat chocolate for the rest of the day.
Oh and now he's not sure if he wants chickens, too late I say, I've arranged for master troo's mate to pick the run up this week.I am a coffee bean0 -
Morning everyone
It's very dark and cold here - just turned the heating on :snow_grin
Another day at work, just need to run an iron over DD's school shirt and make her packed lunch. DH and I are having last night's leftover beef stew that I made in the SC yesterday.
Dinner tonight will be something quick and easy for DD (she has Brownies) and I might make a shepherd's pie for DH and I and freeze the rest.
My mind is starting to think towards Christmas :xmastree: I have one present sorted (well it's 2 x £10 M & S vouchers that have taken me all bl**dy year to earn on Pigsback with another £5 from the Direct Line Insurance freebie) just need to get a bottle of vodka today (Tesco's have 70cl bottles of Smirnoff for £8 at the mo :T) and that will be the FIL sorted out
Still trying hard to finish my niece's topsy turvy cinderella doll - that will be her pressie with a selection box. Want to get my Dad's pressie this month (Theatre tokens) that way I only have to buy a few a month - well that's the plan
Better go and get showered etc - have a lovely Wednesday everyoneSquares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
