I spent ages looking for warm that was "nice enough" to go out in etc
I don't know why I'm so bothered, as it's so rare I go anywhere I need to look "nice enough" for!
i see nice things all the time and think whats the point as i never leave the house after dark :rotfl: i do like to look smartish for work though, my own 'uniform' is usually comfy trousers [always from next as they do stumpy short sizes] and a sweater but i like layers as i really feel the cold :o i dont 'do' buttons or anything that will stick in and leave a bruise

Ta, I'm trying... The wedding isn't in itself worrying me (apart from when people get involved, but that's a different story!) ... it's just the knowledge that we're gonna have to steal from the wedding fund to pay for the cars.

I know the feeling. I dont' even go shopping unless I need something, what's the point in wasting energy I don't even have, just to have to convince myself that I don't need to spend the money..?

  • Suep - great to have someone that switched on. Hope the injection helps.

Raeh - as you didn't get up to go to the loo, may I suggest you look into plastic sheets for the bed to save a soggy matress :D

BZ - are you sure you're getting married? Only you haven't mentioned it before :D

s/e - perhaps we should all get together and each make something for the wedding?! I'll make a fuss

Just got back from the City of Light Festival. Fabulous as usual - real carnival atmosphere. Am knackered now but it's good that I heaved myself off the sofa to do it.

Theatre tomorrow. That means I've been out more this week than I have in the last 5 years!

Must find something easy for dinner. Cheese on toast methinks.

    Hugs to all

Ooh, you dirty stop out! It's gone 8.30 pm, what sort of time do you call this to get in?

I've found that (since my vice-like headache) cocodamol and tramadol works wonders - you feel really spacey but completely numb!
Well, as of friday I will be on Ami and pregabalin (lyrica) and I have tramadol so I could always test it out ;)

I'll bet! It's so frustrating when you go out of your way to go to a long awaited appointment and come away feeling it was a complete waste of time.. which unfortunately is more often than not

Ahh, now my doctor has told me that I couldn't take tramadol and co codamol at the same time, so he has kept me on the tramadol but has also given me etodolac and some omeprazole to counteract the dreadful acid reflux I get from NSAIDS.

I did tell him that NSAIDS don't work, but he doesn't listen.

I'm not surprised your doc told you that, as the leaflets aren't in favour of you having codeine and tramadol together...something about them both being norcotics..? :D Best kind of drugs for me I feel ;)
Never heard of etodolac, surprisingly , but the omezaprole I have... :o

    I'll make a mess then shall I?

Glad you enjoyed the festival, I wish I could have been there ;).

I took the Valerian and Marshmallow again last night and had a better night - not dream free, but just less annoying - it still tasted vile though. At least I have finished a golden syrup jar today so once it is washed out the Valerian can go in there which might stop me catching a whiff of it every time I go into the kitchen.

DH has had to keep nudging me tonight to keep me awake - but this England v Germany game is sooooooooooo boring! I'm glad he has succeeded though as I really don't want to fall asleep down here and then not be able to sleep when I get to bed.

I'll see if I can find a link to the bolero pattern - I think it would look very good in white - I'm off to see if I can find it :D.

And as if by magic: http://www.simplyknitting.co.uk/page/simplyknitting?entry=simply_knitting_issue_47_on it's the one on the front cover. If you scroll right down you will also see free patterns for crochet butterflies - specially for you BZ.

Did I not? How careless of me! OH'll start thinking I've gone off the idea if he gets wind of this... :p
