Codeine bungs you up eh?! I hadn't realised. My IBS has always been treated symptomatically as I'm intolerant to anti-spasmodics so I take 9 Lomotil/Loperamide every day so I can leave the house!
So I'm told. They tell you in hospital...sometimes  Maybe I've been looking after too many eldery ladies who've had codeine mentioned around them... Either way, it's settled in there somewhere, cos I often like to go ona diatribe about it being all well and good that they say "take painkillers regularly" but I'mnot too sure which onces I can take without contraindicating something else!

Had a bit of a suprise this morning. When I saw Cardiologist, one think he said to me was "So no-ones told you you've had a heart attack" and I said "No" meaning don't be daft of course I haven't. Its been running through my mind for the last few days as a weird thing for him to say, so I rang Hospital this morning and spoke to Registrar. And there is some evidence that I have!! He was quite cautious about it in case I went into one, but I think of it as just something to add to the list of things. I don't go off half-cocked thank gawd.
Maybe think of some lifestyle changes though.
    Hellious. And rather bizarre!

I'm actually trying to straighten out the house after the central heating installation, and after spending a couple of hours (interspersed with lots of rests, and ramping up the pill intake) shifting and cleaning stuff I'm fair wiped out.

I think some !!!!!! is stealing my spoons. ;)
When you find him, get mine back too, eh?

  • ah well if i get virus or whatever ill just reinstall the whole puter from dvds. i usually wind up having to do that once a year anyway stupid windows system.

did someone mention valerian somewhere? i have that, i bought the liquid when i discovered my cat trying to eat my pills....but it only came as liquid with hops in it. the pills are vile but the liquid is much much worse. she only gets it poured on her cushion as a very rare treat as i cant stand the smell, no way i could ever manage to force it down my throat. but the cat loves it, stinky or not, sends her nto ecstasy....even the other very elderly cat who hates catnip and any cat treat things likes the valerian.

Beautiful Unity! I love photography. I have always wanted one of those Andy Wharhol Marilyn Monroe type-piccies.
You're all such a clever bunch!

Do you mean you'd like a pic of you done like that? If so, I can PM you my e-mail addy and you can send me a photo and I'll see what I can do. If I can't manage it, I can always ask my user-friendly tutor (as he is brilliant) and I'm sure he'll tell me how to do it. Then I can e-mail it back to you and you can either print it or download it and take it to a printer, if you wish.

They're good :) I'd love to get into photography... but I think I've got enough on my plate right now

I know what you mean, I am letting the jewellery making equipment gather dust just now as I don't have enough spoons - or enough hands to hold the spoons:D come to that! I did have an ulterior motive when I got the stuff from Freecycle, as I suspected that if I either couldn't get away with it or didn't have the time - I could pass them on to DD1 to see if she could make a bit of spare cash with her efforts. Although she seems to be letting rip in other creative realms just now. She's been writing and recording some songs with friends who are musicians and surprisingly she got up some courage and sang acapela at an open mic night recently. This amazed us totally as we'd never even heard her sing in the bath! She received great applause and they even asked her to sing the closing song of the night - not bad for a first timer;) but amazing what you can do after a bad relationship break-up.

I've rabbited on enough now and will probably have to go and log in again as I've been on the phone for 55 minutes chatting to a new but already dear friend who found out yesterday she has cancer. I think I have cheered her up though as she was laughing when when we said 'goodbye'.

See what happens when the phone rings and I go off for 55 minutes - you all come out to play :D.

Glad to see quite a few people knew what I was 'papping' on about :D. I feel duty bound to stay off the thing if only because it will be DH who gets the job of sorting it all out again. He's a love, but I can't take advantage of his good nature, well I can - but there's so many other jobs I need doing :D:D:D.

Anyway it was to let you know I wasn't ignoring you all and after this post, I won't be ignoring you again - it's just that the cupboards are bare and I want us to get the food shopping done before the cold weather hits and DD2 arrives for the weekend, to check my fridge and see if there is anything out of date in there:rolleyes:.

Like my word do ya? ;)
I was online most of the monring (OH has this nasty and very annoying habit of only being able to actually get up after at least an hour of annoying, frequent and varying alarm trills ) but I daren't post yet another post without at least someone posting inbetween!

It's DDs job. :D We do the same at our folks. Or rather not in the fridge...but when I ask for, say, Ribena and it's so old it's gone brown and tastes like sugar reduction...that's when I start checking for dates

Oh the other hand - when you check the date on the worcestershire sauce bottle and see that it's best before November 01, you know that it's just starting to develop a decent flavour.

Let's hope you don't frighten them either ;)

I gave up on trying to sleep... if it wasn't OH ringing for ACAS number (therefore making me come online and serrupticiously check in on here of course ;)) or him texting me reminding me to do other stuff, or me remembering to ring the stupid mechanics about not crushing my car til I've seen it again, or lying there stressing about any of the above and more...it was the pain that is still in my back- which is like I've been hit in the back by a medicine ball and someone is now trying to prise my shoulder blades apart. Glorious(!) :o

I'm now relatively dressed, considering how much it would cost to put the heating on all day, considering straightening my hair, considering how I will stay sane today and how long it will be before I muster up whatever it takes to email all the agencies I can find on OH's behalf .

Ha! The only time I've ventured to sampling worcestershire sauce I was bitterly disappointed...it was just cheese on toast that had been violated IMHO.
