I can't keep up!!!
I have a smallish sewing machine that I've never taken out of the box and would love to make simple things like a bedcover and curtains for two huge windows in living room.
I would use my mobile for appointments, but its a miracle if I can find it and even more so if I remember to charge it.
I don't think I have outlook on the puter, but I will investigate as I always used to use that for reminders at work.
My hair has been doing a wonderful medusa impression today, so I must straighten in so I don't scare children and horses.
BZ, have you thought of suggesting your OH gets in touch with ACAS? I am sure they would be able to help and advise.
Got a pack of cooling Migrane soother packs in pound shop today, so may try these out on headache. I think they are the cooling type you use for kids.
Later dudes

Seriously for a second - what kind of thing did you have in mind?
Well, we've booked the venue, the church, been offered a florist, cake makers, musician(s), bridesmaids and groomsmen will be paying for their own (or at least their parentals will) outfits, I've bought the jewellry... the caterer comes with the venue and are both council owned so although lovely are in budget :T, I have the colour scheme, the bridesmaids (colour co-ordinated) fake flowers, confetti maker (butterfly themed, if you hadn't guessed), made little wire flowers... Where would you like me to start s/e?

I'm sure once you get over the initial terror of starting the task the curtains would come along quite nicely... I have faith
Mobile phone is my lifeline and wouldn't be without it, I do forget that it's not the same for everyone
My hair is the same. Didn't have enough time to straighten it on monday before I went out so just put it up in a french plait, that hasn't been taken out since  I haev no shame.
I will suggest ACAS tomorrow but tbh he has no time to contact them really (stupid pub hours)
Those cooler packs you got - do they also go in the mic?"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -

I had an appointment with my Rheumi this morning. Most app are taken up with him talking about his family and saying carry on with what your doing type things  but today I saw his lovely registrar who informed me he had been to a conference in America and heard a talk by a specialist on Fibromyalgia! Apparently the specialist said a cocktail of Amitriptiline,Lyrica and Tramadol is the best for Fibro pain, Im on the first 2 but not the last one so Im going to ask my gp to put me on it instead of co-codomol which is useless. He also gave me a steriod jab into my sacroilliac joint, Id told him Id had one before which hadnt helped but he said he wanted to try so I had one and this time it has eased the pain a bit, it's still a bit sore, but better than it was. He said the joint is hard to find and the physio who did the jab last time could have easily missed it.
So I might not have come away with a cure, but it was so nice to talk to someone who was interested in what I had to say and wanted to help, its made all the difference and I feel much more positive than I usually do after an app.
Hope everyone else has had a good day

hello everyone
i think i may have to think about giving up work .... not because of the fms but because i cant keep up with the chat in here if im not in til late
actually i wasnt at work at all today but i havent been functioning properly all day so didnt even try to find the on button on the laptop :rotfl:
suep thats really interesting as my gp always just keeps trying all those meds in ones and never mentions trying combinations of them. I think its time to request to see the gp that first recognised the fms rather than all the other things they blamed the symptoms on.
bigzippy you seem very organised for the weddingmy friend did an online diary of photos on photobucket so we could see all the things she had bought and made
have you ordered your dress?
CwtA i have been out in my slippers so many times you wouldnt believe itits because they are so comfy and i just forget.
im forgetting who to reply to now and it takes ages to scroll back and check
i used to knit, crochet and cross stitch but then my arms and hands were very bad i gave up and really when im feeling ok now i should start again. i could do with a bolero cardi for work for when its chilly
i have the sewing machine and the other day i made a dog bed as when i looked they were a disgusting amount of money [some nearly £100] so i used an old double quilt folded into 3 and made a simple envelope opening cover for iti was very pleased with myself except the great lump hasnt been near it and its the teeny kitten laid on it most of the time with the other cat [bernard  ] iv also made curtains and quite a few dressing up outfits for ds2 and outfits for plays at school. Im not arty in the way you are though bz thats a talent
well i took the pregabalin [is that right???] for the first time last night and decided that when i felt tired id go to bed, it totally knocked me out , evensuch a low dose but then im really small and all meds seem to affect me much more than we expect!! i dont think it stopped any pain but i think i was so comatose i didnt notice and i didnt evn wake to go to the loo!! this morning though i felt all dizzy and when i moved my head my eyes and balance didnt keep up and i kept knocking into walls, it didnt last too long though so il see how it goes tonight
i apologise if iv forgotten anything important and also if there have been another 3 pages of posts whilst i took ages to type this out2009-£7500 2010 £10800 2011 £2000

I don't know why I'm so bothered, as it's so rare I go anywhere I need to look "nice enough" for! :rotfl:i was very pleased with myself except the great lump hasnt been near it and its the teeny kitten laid on it most of the time with the other cat [bernard  ] iv also made curtains and quite a few dressing up outfits for ds2 and outfits for plays at school. Thanks for the compliment. I dunno about that though, it doesn't seem to be particularly useful or making me any money! :rolleyes:well i took the pregabalin [is that right???] for the first time last night and decided that when i felt tired id go to bed, it totally knocked me out , evensuch a low dose but then im really small and all meds seem to affect me much more than we expect!! i dont think it stopped any pain but i think i was so comatose i didnt notice and i didnt evn wake to go to the loo!! this morning though i felt all dizzy and when i moved my head my eyes and balance didnt keep up and i kept knocking into walls, it didnt last too long though so il see how it goes tonight"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0
