Hold the phones people... I'm up before the sun's gone down!!
I've even been downstairs and made myself some breakfast! ... well, I say breakfast... but as I'm never actually up for breakfast, I don't have breakfasty things in, generally.. so it may've turned into a kind of lunch affair,,, with butties and crisps and a muffin! :rotfl:
I'm surprised there's been no more action on here... maybe this waking up before dusk isn't all it's cracked up to be...?"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -

I must admit that my favourite was the triptyche. That's one of me fave words too. Just wish I could spell it
Neither my brain nor my fingers are functioning properly tonight, so I may be back on to read, but will post again tomorrow no doubt.
Sleep well all.

x) had to tell me what it was! Glad you liked it though

Snap BZ. I count it as a victor if I get up before midday.
I took some Amytriptwotsit last night - only 10mg - as I could feel a bad night coming on and am really struggling to wake up properly today. I think I am particularly sensitive to it.
On alcohol, full strength wine knows me on my behind, so if I drink anything, I have Rose Sprizer (M&S one is lubbely) and then add even more fizzy water.
My dreams recently have centered round anger I have with a couple of family members that can never actually be expressed to them as it would cause too much damage. It means my bad dreams are quite emotionally disturbing. I actually woke myself up last night shouting "For F's sake will you let me finish a sentence!"
Gawd knows what the neighbours think.
Unity, one thing I like about Cornwall is the proximity to beaches. I fnd being by the sea very healing and it always makes me feel healthily tired when I've walked by it. But it means garnering enough energy to actually get in the car and go there so it doesn't happen very often.
also as I can't use my cutches on the sand, I worry about falling and ending uo on my back with my legs and arms waving in the air like a beetle.
raeh, I hope you had a long restful sleep last night. I am in awe of you continuing to work. Major kudos to you.
Laptop. I sit on the sofa with my feet up on a cushoned stool to stop them swelling and then have my laptop on my lap. I know it's no good for my neck, but I don't have anywhere I can sit properly to use it.
Sun is shining here and I've got a grump on about the state of the flat. I seriously need to declutter.

Regarding the amitriptyline, what time are you taking it? I was advised to take it early in the evening (6.30 - 7.00 pm) cos it take a while to 'kick in' and if you take it just before you go to bed, it'll still be affecting you the following afternoon.
You will probably find the really dopy effect wears off after a couple of days - when I first started taking it, (after we'd got past the horrendous headache and muscle pain it induced) I slept like a log for the first couple of days after the dose was increased, but soon reverted to my normal sleeping pattern. The difference it makes is, a) I'm more likely to be able to stay in bed if I wake during the night and b) I'm less likely to have to get up 2 or 3 times during the night to go to the loo, therefore I'm not lying in bed for anything up to an hour waiting for the pain in my feet to subside enough to be able to get back to sleep.s/e0 -
Come on... let it out. I can't bear this feeling that I'm somehow stiffling you...;)
Anyway... I'll be honest and say that I prefer the paintings to the jewellery, but then I don't really 'do' jewellery, so what do I know? I can see that the bracelets are very intricate and they all look very nice, so this is no disrespect to your talent.
That black butterfly is beautiful. How about some more of them as the centerpiece of your tables at the wedding? Or you could wear it as a head-dress?s/e0 -

Can you guys see anything I post on there now then? or do I need to drop in some more links?
(Ta Raeh)
Well I can'tbut I suspect I am having one of my foggy days - I used all my spoons in order to get to digital imaging class this morning and it's left me 'spoonless' for the rest of the day
.
I only saw the pics from the four links that you sent - and very good they were too:T, what medium are you using? I'd love to see the jewellery if someone can tell me how.
Oops, just realised there is yet another page of posts - yippee, more to keep me from venturing into the kitchen;) :T. I have now seen the jewellery and particularly like the first pic and the last one as they are very much 'my' colours. I'll get around to putting some of my photos from my course up when I get the chance (having already had some very positive feedback from Suep:D.
Does anyone else here knit/crochet or do stuff with a sewing machine? I find that creative stuff and getting lost in a good book helps with both the pain and the depression. I made some lined curtains last month and the sense of achievement was brilliant. Compared to what I used to do, when I also had a competitive full-time job, two young children and a home to look after it's nothing though. There again, we shouldn't dwell on what we used to do.

I think I'm just gonna take it as a compliment then!
But for everyone else: http://s490.photobucket.com/albums/rr270/nbzippy/Jewellery/
And the stuff you didn't see from the 4 links: http://s490.photobucket.com/albums/rr270/nbzippy/Paintings/
That should let you into the rest of the paintings album
The paintings are either acrylic or emulsion (MUCH cheaper and does a very similar job) on canvas.

I always feel like a fraud calling it jewellry! Cos to me jewellery is metals... but hey - it's bracelets, and bracelets are classes as jewellry (which is a word I can never work out how many 'e's to put in)
To be honest, the butterflies were supposed to be cheap and easy to make... but someone LIED! I found some gorgeous ones on ebay that I bought for the wedding (small and intricate, a pack of 50 and pack of 10) for less than £10 inc p&p (from Kuala Lumpur!) soI gave up on em..."I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -

I like the last one the most... but I've sold that one. And the first one. I can make to order though
I have dabbled in knitting but have never actually made anything other than a long scarf type thing  They hurt my finger tips too... cos I'm a wimp these days:o
I have a sewing maching and took up my curtains and made cushion covers with the offcuts (you know what Ikea's like for loooooooong curtains) and was reasonably happy with my wee self. I'm a perfectionist to the extreme, though, so anything even slightly out does my head in... and they were.
