Now, look, you lot are just being smug now and showing off. "Fibrofog" - I read the instructions to multi quote and in my brain I hear blah, blah, blah!
The 4head thing is like a menthol that makes your skin tingle. I think the idea is that you feel the sensation on the skin and it "confuses" the pain message. You can also get an aromatherapy migraine roll on from health shops. Both are rather expensive (£5 odd), but when you've taken every painkiller known to man and still have a headache, anything is good.
You also can apply these to the v of skin between your thumb and 1st finger, which is supposed to be the pressure point for headaches, and at the back of your neck. One tip - if you put it on your hand, do not then rub your eyes, or you cry for ages!!
I hit the ground running last week in terms of housework, but to keep me out of the way whilst dishwasher being fitted, i went through several year of accumulated paperwork and now the place is a terrible tip and I don't really have the energy or the motivation for it today. Back is playing up a bit along with the usual.
BTW how do you keep the bottom sheet on the bed when you toss and turn at night like we do?
Mine always end up coming off and I don't like sleeping on the bare mattress! I've tried both flat and fitted sheets to no avail.
BZ, I do hope your head is better today. It's just too much to cope with on top of everything else.
ATB to everyone.

CwtA i dont keep the sheet on lol, im the same its all over the place same as my pillow. We have one of the duck feather filled mattress toppers to supposedly!? make the bed comfier for me so i have a valance sheet to cover the main mattress and hang down and then a fitted sheet over the mattress topper which does stay on better but i still have to pull it back into place every morning. To be honest im not a fast shuffler in bed as im too stiff once iv laid so its more that the pain wakes me and i have to try to shuffle myself into a better position? my legs move quite a lot as i get the electric tingles all night which make them restless.
I saw some elastic clip things a while back that you clip to each side of the sheet under the mattress to hold it in place? il try to see if i can find them online again.

I do a 3 part shuffle/flip from left to right and later on back again, about 15-20 times a night.
I was starting to make a dreadlock on the side of my head as my hair was getting rubbed on the pillow so much.

I too am horrendous for having tissues in, around, under, down the back of, every bed I'm ever near... I've always had a snottier nose than anyone else - and always put it down to allergies or whatever (apparently it's also part of the reason for my hearing problems) - do you guys have it too?
Cwta - I too have problems with years worth of filing and paperwork that really NEEDS sorting out but I either don't feel up to it, or I look at it and it's FAR too overwhelming. I keep telling OH that if he'd just sit with me while I did it I'd do it... I just hate the monotony and boredom associated with it, as much as the pain of sitting there for soooo long
Cwta and Raeh - I also have the bed sheet phenomenon... I always blame it on the OH though
I realised last night that there was no way I was fit enough to be driving around today if I felt even half as bad as I did yesterday... and that the state of the house was seriously getting me down and that there was nothing I could do about it in this state... so I sent a late night request to my brother-in-law to ask his good lady wife (my sister) to come over and give me a hand. She brought my - willing and volunteering!! - nephew with her
Happy days!
I do feel considerably better than I did last night. Thank God. Who was it that was talking about being itchy/feeling like spiders were crawling all over them? I had the same thing last night (as well as being very shivery/cold/spasmy) and have come to the conclusion that (at least on this occassion) it was because it was when the effects of the tramadol were wearing off. Like the tramadol numbed all my nerve endings (like when you get numbed at the dentists) and then when it all started coming back to life again as the effects wore off the nerve endings all got itchy and tingly (again like when the anaesthetic wears off from the dentists)... Does that make sense?"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -

Has anyone tried them? Do they work?
It drives me crazy how often they ping off. It's especially annoying when it causes the sheet to rumple up (technical term), making it very uncomfortable on my ribs/hips pressure points.

i have for years and years had blocked and runny noses constantly, i just thought i was a sensitive soul  im terrible if theres dust as it makes me sneeze constantly and i have put my foot in it numerous times when visiting people and they ask if im alright when i set off sneezing and i reply that im allergic to dustdh is always complaining about waking up with, as he calls it, 'a snotty tissue' attached to his back/arm/leg or all of them

iv never tried them im afraid but i did read reviews somewhere that said they were very good.
i can always feel the rumple in the sheetsi think its because we are precious princesses [the pea thingy] and as i have a feather mattress topper if theres a loose feather i can feel that under me! if theres any lumps in the bed i will wake up with a bruise too.

Thanks for that Raeh! I'll Fibro-test them for us all. I did have some clippy things from Lakeland, but I couldn't manipulate them IYKWIM.
I have always thought a matress topper might help me, but as I can't control my temperature and get far too hot in bed, I suspect I would just boil.
BZ Good call on getting help with housework. Can you send your Sis and helper round here next please? The place is probably in its worst state for about a year. But, I am going to have a resing weekend and try again next week. Shame I saw that every 7 days!
Did a little shopping today and there was a charity stall in Town selling books, but I was most restrained and only bought 5  But they only cost £2.
:rotfl: :rotfl: at the sock calamity parsonswife.
Soz to anyone I've missed and hugs to all.
