Good for you to get it off your chest big zippy. When yo have chronic medical probs, to have to deal with other things as well sometimes just tips you over the edge eh?Sending you lots of warm hugs.
Ta very much, it is sometimes the little things that turn into "the straw that broke the camel's back".
Can you phone a takeaway that delivers for some food??
and then really make your OH humble when he returns. Go on - lay it on thick! i take it that if he couldn't wake you this am that he at least checked you were still breathing! :D
I'm considering it, but getting sick of pizza!! OH's mum said I could go over there and raid the freezer but she smokes and it's no good for my asthma :(
He's too stressed out for me tolay anything but TLC on thick methinks. I'm too worried he'll walk out and we'll be in dire financial straits!
I think the snoring would've given away the breathing or not
How awful for wages to be wrong for 3 months. That's terrible! Can he visit payroll department and sit down with them to sort it out by any chance?
There's no local payroll dept unfortunately. It's such a nightmare. They're telling him he has to write a letter expressing his unimpressedness. Ridiculous.
Thank goodness he has another job for the New Year. You'll have to be a very understanding OH to keep him calm until then.
I know. Stupid thing is they had an intake 17th Nov but he said he wouldn't be able to be there for then, so he has to wait til Jan now. If he walked out today he could've started on 17th cos it's only monday! But there's no one in the new job offices over the weekend!!
I think keeping him calm will take ever resource I have! :o
I found out quite by accident when I had a cold a few years ago that if you mix Lemsip with tramadol and then have a small glass of wine, that your eyes roll in opposite directions and you feel no pain!!!! Not that I could possibly recommend this of course :D
Hahaha :rotfl: That sounds pretty horrendous tbh! Although I'll bear it in mind for any future overwhelming dramas!

How's everyone else on this miserable rainy Friday?

    Hi all

I hope someone can reassure me! I am a dental nurse so have done all the things we advise pts who have jaw problems, but mine just isnt going. Have got an appt for local hosp dental dept for investigation but not until Jan 09. I am really struggling at the mo. Does anyone have similar symptoms? my main one is the pain in the jaw, but also for the last 3 weeks on the same side I have been getting a really painful throat/windpipe! It is like a sore throat but without the sore part if that makes sense - a feeling of a lump there and awful pain when I swallow! Hope someone can shed some light!
    thanks

hi yellowrock only just spotted your post.
Dont know if you also have fibro but l do and get pain in my jaw -some seem to get it very badly and may be better at helping you.Have had a blocked salivary gland which hurt jaw and down neck etc-ate loads of sherbert lemons -apparently encourages saliva production and can push stone blocking duct out.
hope this helps a bit try not to worry too much-easy to say l know

Not yet... still weighing up my options. I really fancy a chippy tea...but as we know - they don't deliver :( I'd go over to OH's and raid the food in the freezer but I'm worried about the smoke vs asthma, esp with this cold...

Is anyone online? I have the worst headache and I've already tried cocodamol 30/500 and diclofenac... I have some tramadol but am wondering if it conflicts with what I've already taken..?

    OUCH OUCH OUCH.
thats better!Have just spent 72 hrs in hospital as my daughter had an emergency appendix removal.Because she was on morphine and needed me to be with her on the childrens ward i couldnt take any of my tablets!.I had to be on the ball so after 48 hrs they advised me it was ok to go home.I'm a wreck.
Back to the tramadol/cocodamol and a large glass to wash it down tonight I think!.
Every day above ground is a good one ;)
  • Bigzippy - I typed narcoleptics instead of narcotics! Lord knows what I was thinking of! I use a roll on stick called "4head" to help with headaches, although I've been told that rubbing Vic on your temples and forehead can work just as well!
Headaches is horrible - I get them most days towards the end of the afternoon so I feel for you.
Will pop on again before the end of the evening.
    Hugs

I might have to get one of those 4head things, I've seen the ads for them and always thought...hmmmm I wonder if that works?
It's like having my head in a vice tonight. Have taken the tramadol, on top of everything else(!), and turned the dimmer down on the lights... really hoping it takes at least the edge off :o
Thanks for your help CwtA. A friend I was on msn to rang her aunt who's a nurse and she said the same thing :)
    I now feel suitably spacey!!
