Morning all
Hmmm Morning - rare phenomenon for me! although I vaguely remember it from when I worked.
Sore today, but up early as had a really bad dream that upset me and when I woke up, I had a revelation about my cat who has been unwell.
Take her to the Vet today as I have an awful feeling she has Flu. Lord knows how - she's been vaccinated and barely goes outside (her choice).
She is the way I help stave off the loneliness of living alone. I agree with what others have said - it gets terribly lonely sometimes. Have been too knackered for too long to have a social life, so don't have any friends locally as I moved here only 6 years ago.
Don't want to make people I do know fed up by ringing them too often just because I feel the need to make contact with a person!
I did have someone I came across through this forum that had the same med probs as me, and we emailed for a while, but pc died and I lost her email addy. I must do more to find her again as I often think of her.
I've gone on far too long, as usual. Why use 2 words when 20 will do!
Hugs to all, stay warm and I'm always here if you need to talk!

Hello everyone! I'm kanes_son aka Monique, 38 year old single mother of a 12 year old daughter, 2 cats and 5 chinchillas!
I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in September 2007, which was a shock and a relief at the same time.
I have been lucky enough to get the DLA I applied for, and my free bus pass is going to make a hell of a difference, no more walking!
I'm mostly here to try and find ways of budgeting as I feel I may not have my job for much longer, and in the current economic climate, I can't see me finding a new job anytime soon! I'm also looking for crockpot recipes so I can make loads of stuff I can just freeze and microwave for those days when I just cannot cook.
I recently went to a fibromyalgia therapy group and I have some handouts that might be useful. If anyone wants them, PM me and I can email them to you.

I cannot express just how annoying it is to go to someone who's supposed to know the answers, and they just don't! But then, I don't need to tell you guys thats/e0

I quite often get bad vivid dreams, they are awful but didn't know others had them aswell as I didn't think it was part of the condition. I wonder if it's to do with all the medication?
Yes it does get lonely, I too moved and bought a house in an area 100 miles away from home family and friends (because of work) before I became ill. I stayed here although I didn't know many and didn't really know the area in the hope I would get better and be able to work again - My life revolved around work and social life with work colleagues.
Social life ... what is that? That stopped before I had to leave work through ill health! I lost contact with work colleagues, many I thought were friends - not sure how and why it happened.
I phone family everyday just to have contact, luckily I'm close to my parents sisters and brother and they really understand.0 -

Hi Folks,
Just to say I'm not ignoring you all - I'm just having one of those days where I fall asleep over the keyboard - or else I type complete gobbledygook and worse still 'post it'.
I'm going to sleep now - see you later.
((((((((((hugs))))))))))Some people hear voices, some see invisible people. Others have no imagination whatsoever

Don't worry about it - I know the feeling! I have been having a couple of hours sleep during the afternoons lately because I'm shattered and my head is all over the place  Very often though I wake up and feel much worse for it!0 -

Just popped in and read up between finally waking up and going to my GP appointment... hopefully I'll get somewhere this time....
I'll drop in again later but just wanted to say hi to the newcommers and that I too suspect that the vivid dreams are part of the condition - everyone I tell about my dreams looks at me as if they're never asleep long enough to have dreams never mind remember them!
I'm gonna start rambling and be late if I'm not careful, so bye for now"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
I get very vivid dreams most nights. Folk cant beleive them when i tell them OH never dreams (lucky him) but sometimes I wake crying or screaming or just so frightened because of them.
Called GPs today to make an app re possible trapped nerve or sciatic problem but will need to wait a fortnight for the DR i prefer.
I too get a sore scalp especially if my hair is in a ponny tail. At the moment my thigh is itchy but scratching it hurst like hell. I bumped into the door last night and the pain was awfull I could have cried. I am so glad I found this thread.February 2013 NSD - 40
