Im another dry mouth /eyes suffer. They called mine sjogrens syndrome. It also causes constipation as it dries lining of bowels and putting it delicatly in ladies vaginal dryness and asscociated problems.
Im a fount of knowledge today!!
went and did some xmas shopping then took dog out and now l can barely move-so so so tired and stiff and headache-so going to have nap and stop moaning!
I have the dry eyes etc and it then gets worse with the Amitrptyline and the tablets I take for irritable bladder!!
Today I was meant to go out with a friend but I have severe pain in my sternum/breast bone. In the car yesterday we had to stop suddenly and I am sure that is what caused it.
I have a day out with my local Fibro group tomorrow. It is really helpful to have others to talk to and share ideas. There seem to be a lot of people posting here who don't have a local support group, so anyone who wants to chat can pm me.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

My eyes have been a lot better since I started using Daysoft lenses, but they're still on the dry side and often itch quite a bit.
The eye pain was one of the first things that alerted the docs to the MS diagnosis, although I know it can also happen if you suddenly stop taking Gabapentin or Pre-Gabalin and also Carbamazepine, so keep a check just in case it occurs with a missed dose of any of these meds .
I remember talking to a fellow sufferer who told me that in Spain, Fibro and MS are thought to be connected and often treated the same way.
For anyone who is really bothered with tinnitus, especially at night when trying to sleep, I found that listening to my MP3 player helps to drive the noise into the background. I mentioned it at my audiology appointment and now they are advising all sufferers to try this. I find listening to soothing music is the best option - although once I forgot to set the thing to play in a loop and almost shot out of bed when ACDC came on :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.
I really enjoyed getting out to my course this morning, they are a nice group of people and I had fun - but I am ready for sleep now. The homework can wait .

Does anyone suffer from light sensitivity?
I have to have the brightness turned right down on the TV as otherwise it exacerbates my evening headaches.

I also experience the stabbing pains in the back of my eyes when I go outside - even if it's a dull day.
Personally, I'll be glad when the fireworks stop - even from inside the noise is aggravating my headache.s/e0 -
I've had a shocking day and all I want to do is curl up with OH... who's at work
so I'm gonna have to take this one at a time... (not sure how to multi-quote so we'll see how this goes!)

Sensitivity to light is one of the markers for ME, so my specialist told me.... as I have ALL the markers for ME -I do indeed have sensitivity to light  To the point where it makes me feel very sick and migrainey...but not all the time thankfully.
Unity: I have tinnitus, which I always thought was because of my long standing hearing problems (my eardrums burst as a child and I also have some genetic predisposition or something) but at my last ENT appt I mentioned it and he reckoned that my test showed no indication of tinnitus... yeah whatever mate  I've always tried to have a stereo on low or ipod at any quiet times. When I my Student Disability Allowance (awarded because of my deafness) got awarded, they told me that tinnitus can be set off by the vibrations(?) of flourescent lighting tubes etc.
Re the list of supplements from the ex - I'll give him a prod, providing I remember  If I haven't posted anything in a couple of days remind me!
Eye dryness: is it me, or the more I read about it the more I feel them being dry?I wear glasses 99.9% of the time. The contact lenses I have are disposables and I suffer more with the dry eyes then. When my eyes are particularly dry it feels like there's a draft blowing across my eyes.
Sludgy eyes: I have a kind of film pass over my eyes every so often. It takes a minute or two (or longer when it's worse) to clear usually. It's really irritating but never really paid that much attention to it - apart form when my parents have had cataract ops and it's freaked me out to think about!
Poohbear: in theory I'd like to know there's a local support group, however, I'm bad enough trying to go to things I want to do - I'm worried I'll feel oblidged or like I'm missing out if I tried signing up to something like that.... plus I'm not the confident person I once was (if I ever was lol) who could just walk into new situations with new people...
Dry mouth: I figured it was because I'm too knackered to be up and down making drinks all the time. Although thinking back if I didn't have at least 2l of water a day I would always get a dry itchy throat/cough. I get a lot of cracked lips-ness too.
I think I've answered everything I meant to... but no promises
Hope everyone's having a good bonfire night...even if I'm not!"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -

Grim! I'd be LOST without the tele. Other than the internet it's my solace
The rugby ground that the big local display is on at is right infront of my house. A terraced house in an area of terraced houses is not helpful when it just equals booming echoing fireworks noises!"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -

I can't say I miss the TV all that much - I've got the radio and I've got the internet, and I've always got solitaire and scabble on the pooter.
(Oops, spoke too soon, the artillery fire is just starting. I shall just have to be thankful that this year's firework season didn't start 'til last weekend - in recent years it's been starting at the end of September and going on 'til past New Year.)s/e0 -
Wow all this info is amazing and extremlly helpful. to every1 for the helpful info. i hope u are all well as can be. 1 thing i find that helps with the pain is heat pads (wilkos do 2 for 99p) i have also just brought a electric warming pad from lidl's and i have it on almost constly the pain doesnt disaper but it helps a lot.

I'll second that - the firework season. It has been tamer and seems to have sneaked up more this year...
I've come to the conclusion that it's for the best that OH is working tonight and I'm missing bonfire night... if he'd been home I would've been subjected to even more cold (and therefore pain) and all the smog and smoke would've done nothing good for my lousy asthma!"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
hi all
been out to the cinema to see quantum of solace with hubby and kids for eldest sons birthday... god they make those chairs uncomfy and i kept dozing off and when there was a huge bang at one point i jumped and yelled
the kids were not impressed lol.
i wasnt going to type as my arms are too tired but i had to say about my eye after reading the postsi think i said yesterday about having my eyes tested a few times because of pain in the left one but the main worry for me was that i get a sort of film going over it and everything goes grey, i have to blink and blink to try and get it to clear. I think i went 3 times in one year as it was worrying me so much but they just said i had loads of floaters in it and it wasnt anything to worry about unless i saw flashing lights behind it!! iv just sort of put up with it but hearing your stories i think its maybe just to do with the fms?
also as someone said [sorry forgotten who said what already] my eyes are very sensitive to light, i hate it when its bright and i cant drive at night as i just cant cope with the headlights coming towards me.
and whoever said about mouth ulcers? i constantly have them but my gp just said it was to do with being run down all the time
also im not sure if everyone else is the same but if i get an ulcer or maybe a little cut on the side of my mouth or a cut on my hand they takes ages and ages to heal?
right im sure iv whinged on for long enough lol. have a good day tomorrow everyone xx2009-£7500 2010 £10800 2011 £2000
Thank you to everyone who posts comps xxx0
