Sue, I had cleaned the side in the kitchen next to the cooked and that's where one of the handsets lives. I put it on the hotplate of the cooker when cleaning and left it there.
Went to turn on one of the rings to put potatoes on and turned on the rung under the handset by mistake, went into living room without realising what I had done. So it's got melted and stuck to the ring.
Very, very stupid of me - the smoke was horrendous. Cleaner is going to re-fit smoke alarm for me tomorrow, I've decided.
p.s. I'm 5'4"I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -

yep
thats the exact one, bless her, my sister is rather a large size so she had a wrap type thingy too? just around her shoulders ad hung over her arms and it had the embroidery to match the dress at the ends. She looked gorgeous in it, it really was[is] a beautiful dress
she wore red shoes for the service but then changed into white crocs for the reception :rotfl:
good luck with the dress hunting tomorrowwhen we were looking most shops seemed to have a couple of middle of the range sizes? 12 / 14 maybe and then you had to order the actual size you wanted
The Alfred Angelo dress I saw yesterday wasn't what I was expecting. They'd put loads of beads and things on the bits that I thought were only embroidered (which was what I wanted) from the pictures on the web. I don't suit the straight across (at the top) style, cos I also am a rather large size at the moment too! I've put on two stone since last year with this Amyonatrampoline and inactivity
Thanks for your wishes guys, I actually found a dress today that I didn't mind! (If you knew me better you'd know how shocking it is!) I only found it by accident, as I was passing by a bridal shop that I hadn't really noticed before on my way to Debenhams. It's one of their own and they can make any alterations I want and add whatever kind of straps etc that I want if I want the dress. It's beginning to actually feel more like MY wedding, instead of one that I'm just organising! :rotfl:
I would feel rude telling you guys my height now...even though I resent that I never got to 5'7"
Cwta not the bottom as in the seat...the bottom as in the hemline! :rotfl:
Sorry you had a rubbish day!!"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
hopefully today will be better axe
ive melted things to the cooker hob before too. smoke alarms..mine were both fitted by the fire brigade and are those ones that have 10 year batteries. they offered a free fire safety check and fitting smoke alarms was part of that. might be worth a ring to see if your local fire station does the same?
well done on finding a dress bz, at least now if you dont find one you love love you have a back up plan.0 -
bz, sounds good that the dress you like is alterable for how you want it. I think that's the beauty of the independent shops for that type of thing and it means you can have something truly original.
Another disturbed night here, but at least the early get up means I beat the crowds to the shops.
Am looking forward to the boots I bought yesterday being delivered as they're beautiful.
I need to empty the car this weekend as it's being serviced on Monday. The thing with having a small flat is that the car is not just a means of transport, but also a storage deviceI might even go the whole hog and vaccuum it out once it's clear, but I wouldn't want to go overdoing things
Thanks for the suggestions for replacing phone and stain removal - I have 2 other handsets, but this was the one with the shiny colour screen and pretty tunes. Gadget freak??? Moi??!
I also have stain remover in stock as it's not unknown for me to spill things. The tomato soup, was a doozie though.
Hold on to your hats in this windy weather folks!

Snap on the disturbed nights CWTA - Not much chance of me getting off these Durogesic patches, I had to increase the dosageby 12 mcgs last night as the spine pain was at the "making me sob" stage and the sciatic nerve pain is like really bad toothache - but in my bum
I think like most people I just 'get on with it' when it comes to pain - untill I reach the stage where I can't think because of it. You know that point where you are struggling to get from one minute to the next? DYKWIM?
As to spilling things - I do this when the narcolepsy is particularly bad and I've been known to fall asleep holding a full cuppa only to wake up wearing it:eek:.
I hope you've been successful with the stain remover. When the new furniture comes I'll not be sitting on it and drinking at the same timeas, although it's leather - it's one of those where it is dyed right through rather than the colour sprayed on so it should last well.
So far it's not windy here - in fact the sun is cracking the flags and when I went into the conservatory this morning I could feel a little bit of heat coming from it :T:T:T.Some people hear voices, some see invisible people. Others have no imagination whatsoever

I wouldn't like to pretend that my pain is as bad as your pain, but it does get to the point where you just can't think for having your brain spasm with pain almost.
I'm so glad I don't do hot drinks! I'd be so burnt by now!!"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
unity im so sorry you are feeling really bad
every so often i get a day where im crying in pain and just think i cant go on, doesnt last long, as what else can you do but get on with it but i dont think people understand [other than you lot on here
] the fact that you cant sit, you cant stand, you cant lay down
i never realised you have narcolepsy
is it very difficult to cope with? i have a friend whos husband has it and he does drop of at the most awkward moments sometimes!
iv had 2 very bad burns where the skin was peeling off my hand, once when i tried to pour myself a cuppa and just couldnt hold the kettle and the other one when i was trying to move a pan with potatoes in it  both times were my left hand as im right handed. i wont even mention all the other burns that werent really so bad, im always hurting myself trying to do meals!
bz thats great you saw a dress that you 'didnt mind'and especially if they can make the alterations you want too
well after all the talk of altering trousers for us shorties i decided to get a pair out of the drawer that i bought the other week in next and shorten them but then they looked too wide as im so flippin short so i had to take them in all down the leg too :rotfl:
now what to do for tea ..........2009-£7500 2010 £10800 2011 £2000
