Raeh was it like this? This dress is what brought me to Alfred Angelo in the first place.
yepthats the exact one, bless her, my sister is rather a large size so she had a wrap type thingy too? just around her shoulders ad hung over her arms and it had the embroidery to match the dress at the ends. She looked gorgeous in it, it really was[is] a beautiful dress
she wore red shoes for the service but then changed into white crocs for the reception :rotfl:
good luck with the dress hunting tomorrowwhen we were looking most shops seemed to have a couple of middle of the range sizes? 12 / 14 maybe and then you had to order the actual size you wanted
2009-£7500 2010 £10800 2011 £2000
Thank you to everyone who posts comps xxx0 -
BZ/raeh, that is such a beautiful dress! I love the wedding dresses with classic styles but with colour in them - so much more modern. I also like the idea of dresses in cream and gold or peachy colours.
BZ, I need to pick up my new prescription of Amy on Monday, so I'll let you know make.
More expense, car booked in for servicing on Monday and it defo needs a new tire as one has a galvanised nail in it. Gawd knows from where. Garage doesn't have an auto courtesy car, so will have to spend afternoon at Dad and his wife's. Dad is in all "care" mode at the moment - "Come and stay over here for a few nights and let us look after you". Sod that!! *grin*
Nothing you want more than your own bed and your own things about you when you're not on form physically or mentally. Also, I can't stand being fussed over.
And, errrrr, excuse me BZ, how on earth did you get the bottom of your pants wet??!! Sit in a puddle did ya?!I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
who was it was complaining about americanisms the other week too?
i deff think too long trousers looks much better than too short, i hate for my ankles to be visible.
5ft 4 is not short! well not really, cant ever forget the half on my 5ft 1 and 1/2 though i could have sworn it used to be 2 and a 1/2. im getting shorter, or slouching more as i get older lol.
yeah careful, getting used to it, at least tis got a little warmer. still wish i was rich enough to spend all the winter somewhere warm and sunny every single year though.
bz good luck dress hunting tomorrow.0 -
Cat - Short enough! Almost everyone I know is taller than me, including all my family except my grandmother, and I might as well be even shorter since I struggle to reach over my head on the best of days without my shoulders dislocating. Sigh.Homosexual, Unitarian, young, British, female, disabled. Do you need more?0

i still get an automatic omg look that person is shorter than me reaction in my head on the rare occasion i see someone shorter than myself. i do not actually know anyone shorter than me, the closest in height is about an inch taller but in a different country.

Hey PCL - I used to be taller . The last full examination some years ago by the rheumatologist he noted I had lost heightand I was only 5'3.5" to start with. Mind you I'm much the same as Trialia - I still have long legs, they go all the way up to my bum :rotfl:.

Well, they say things come in threes.
Today I have spilled tomato soup over my beige sofa, melted one of my landline phones on the cooker and split a bottle of Ribena down the cupboards and the floor of the kitchen just after I had cleaned it.
Is it any wonder I get fed up and grumpy?I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -

Awww CWTA what a day!
Well in that case, if it's one of 'those days' - "If at first you don't succeed
cheat!" There's bound to be something in the OS bit about stain removal for your sofa. If you like, have a look on Freecycle for a phone - people are always giving them away up here and lastly don't cry over spilt Ribena - blooming sticky though it is.
After all that I suggest chocolate and probably a nice stiff drink, whilst remembering that "Tomorrow is another day" - but not said in that flakey Vivian Leigh style :D.Some people hear voices, some see invisible people. Others have no imagination whatsoever
