  • Sue, I got it some time ago, but some of the bigger stores may have them if there's one near you?
I'll keep a look out and give you a shout if I see them again.
There's also a place near us called The Range. I don't know if it's a nationwide chain, but they have cheap ones too.
Checked my gas meter today and have used £60 worth of gas since 22nd December! The only gas I use is for heating and hot water. I'm gonna have to start saving my pennies I think.
p.s. Antiflybotics can make you feel miserably sick, eh? Hope you continue to feel better.

Thanks S/E I know what caused it, I started having cystistat instills, a treatment for interstitial cystitis last week, it involves a cathetar and I was warned I might get an infection, on monday night my bladder felt a bit sore and I thought it might be the start of one so I started taking some antibiotics ( I have some on repeat as I get a lot of infections) these a/b have made me sick before, only not so bad, I dont think being full of cattarh helped either. Im fine now and so's my bladder, Im not going to try them again.

Glad you're feeling a bit better Sue. I can't take penicillin 'cos it makes me puke for England - which can be a bit of a &ugger if it's the recommended antibiotic for any particular condition. Fortunately, I don't need 'em very often.

I hope it's all sorted soon.

Hi again guys, I can't remember anything that I'm supposed to reply to now.... I remember Cwta asking how OH's job's going -and the answer is well. He's doing two weeks training at the moment, which can be a bit boring, but unlike most "training courses" it actually seems to have a point and they tell you why they're telling you things you don't think you'll need to know, lol. From what he's seen so far it seems a very efficiently run company - which is a breath of fresh air! And unlike most sectors nowadays, they actually aren't affected by the "economic downturn" as they're an ombudsmen and things like utilities companys have to be members of an ombudsmen, of which there's only 2 in the company, and OH's is the biggest. So phewf, there should actually be some stability for our household! :)

Ah yes, Pamaris, I will dig it out tomorrow for you - but you may well have to remind me!!

S/e - the BNF? And why would the tablets make my tongue numb? :rotfl:

I've spent the evening packing up more stuff with OH and at least I feel like I've done something useful and productive this week. But I am knackered now! (And no comments on the time ;))

SIL is trying to get me to agree to meeting her to go looking for/at wedding dresses on Thursday. While I'm starting to freak out that I'm leaving it so late, I'm also pondering whether or not I should be taking something else on at the same time as the whole house thing... I know you lot are going to tell me I should be pacing myself etc...but if the stress of knowing I've not done something like the wedding dress is going to get to me then....? :o

Hope everyone's alright and glad to hear you're feeling better Suep :)

  • Well, I'm here so where's all you slugabeds??!

Another disturbed night *sigh*. I've been managing to tie the bedsheets in knots the last few nights, so at least I'll have time to change the bed today which may contribute to a better sleep tonight.

BZ, brilliant that OH's job is going well. I would go for it with the dress thing. We talk about pacing ourselves, but stress does you in too. If going to look for a dress will help reduce the stress levels, then I would do it but plan some downtime to recover for a couple of days afterwards.
That's only my opinion and I'm sure someone will be along to correct me soon :D
And how is re-setting your sleeping patterns going? ;)

Hope you all have a good day.

good morning all :) i have a quiet 10 minutes here with a cuppa as ds1 left at 7.40 and i dont have to shout ds2 up yet as we dont leave til later today as its my day off :D well ..... i say day off  i always take mum and sister out as mum wont leave the house without me

cwta i dont know what bedding you have on the bed but i remember a friend telling me she had changed all hers because of the night sweats, i cant remember exactly what she said but she had a lighter duvet and a sheet and everything was cotton which was cooler but she had to keep covered even though it was instinct to throw it all off?? im rambling here :o im sure i will be asking for advice in not so many years

bz what sort of dress are you thinking of? have you something in your mind? monsson have some gorgeous off the peg dresses, when my sister was getting married last year we saw some fabulous one there but shes a much larger size and kept grumbling at me being a 6/8 and being able to just pick any up :o :rotfl: they do have a huge range of sizes though :)

ok must shout little one up [not so little :o must stop saying that!]

have a good day everyone and hope you manage to do everything you want/ need to do :)

I just discovered how quickly you can go off people

Thanks for the word about bedding. I invested in some of the M&S range of sheets that are supposed to help keep you cool as I've always tended to get too hot in bed.
I don't know if it's helping - I'm not willing to go back to normal ones just in case! I keep wet wipes and a water spray by the bed.

Despite your enforced trip out, I hope you have a decent day.

    Wow, this thread moves fast!

Granted, I've not been around for a few days... circadian rhythms are yet again so screwed up I've been sleeping all day and up all night. No fun at all.

Thanks for the warm welcome :)

My task today? I'm going to church, then meeting up with a friend for lunch, and she is going to help me fill out my DLA form to get reassessed (currently have no mobility component as FMS was only diagnosed in early December, so that should change this time), because my hands have been hurting so much I can't write for long enough to fill it out myself, and it's easier with help. Well, I guess you *all* know what a pain those forms are!

They took me off the nortriptyline, as I was having visual hallucinations. Auditory come with the territory for atypical bipolar, but seeing hamsterbugs crawl across my duvet and inanimate things moving? Do Not Want! So next up is Lyrica. We'll see... Anyone here tried Modafinil on the brainfog?

cwta im just small because im a short @r$e :rotfl: im actually wearing an age 11/12 cardigan i bought in next at the weekend :o i was looking for a plain one and it was perfect hehe. No fun chopping 3 foot off every pair of trousers i buy though

welcome back trialia :) good luck with the dla forms, its good to have someone read what you are writing as well as im not sure if everyone else is the same but i miss words out when writing just like i do when typing

i hope everyone is ok as its been so quiet here today? time to go and have a look at the competitions i think ;)

  • I must have been sitting down too much today as my bum aches!
Raeh, know what you mean about trousers - if they're anything longer than 29" I either have to make a very poor and amateur attempt to take them up or pull them up under my armpits - not a good look.
To my shame, I actually have about 4 pairs of trousers that I could be wearing now (not all at once  ) but they're waiting to be tucked up.

Have been fed up, bored and grumpy with no motivation to do anything at all. No-one about either IRL or on here, sio I have to make do with grumping on email.

Quick change of subject - Soya yoghurt is weird. Could only get plain and it looks like normal yoghurt, smells like normal yoghurt, but has the strangest aftertaste that's completely yukky. I'll have to get some fruit stuff to put in it and force it down as GP advises it will help stop my belisha beacon impressions.:o :o
