    Hi everyone!
Sorry I've not been around but post-Christmas flare and going back to work (which both co-incided... joyous!) have taken over my life. Am also well overdue on a refill of my prescription but I've been too tired when I get home from work to go to the surgery, plus there is only a staff car park (and I don't have a blue badge) so that has added to it all. I hope that I can just call them and get a repeat that way... crossing my fingers.

Hope you are all as well as possible!

  • TMI coming, but guilt is why I have trouble being in a relationship. I can't help but fall into the "traditional" role and that traditionalism is just so not me. I end up doing the "I'm sorry I haven't ironed your shirts/cooked your meal/run your bath/kissed your feet." and resent it.
To get on my sociology soapbox (oh, I have many!), I am convinced that this is an inbuilt nesting wotsit (can't remember the word) that is part of our genetic make-up. You know - men = hunter/gatherer, woman = tends the hearth. I would say that at least it isn't societal pressure, but we are still constantly being told that we can "do it all".

    I'll get me coat :o:o:o
I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break :D

No, don't get your coat! I'm the same. My boyfriend was so good last week, I got home from work and came back to a deep cleaned kitchen, it was wonderful! I couldn't thank my boyfriend enough. He also cooked me dinner and it lasted all week! If we had the money I'd love him to be a house husband as he does the job a lot better than I do.... get exhausted just trying to decide which cleaner to use....

  • Brilliant Sharon! I remember how excited my Sis was when she got an overlocker - whatever that is. She insisted on telling me all it could do and all she could do with it even though she may as well have been talking Sanskrit for all I understood.
I've been a good little girlie today. I've sort of sorted the kitchen to an acceptable standard and cleaned out the fridge so that it looks a load better. I've got the cleaning buzz now, so am going to scramble over all the stuff in the bedroom and sort all the things that have been hanging around for ages.

Send out a search party if you don't hear from me again today??!!

I still think you've done a bit too much raeh, on top of working. I really do wonder (as in awe) at how much you achieve. So that word should have no part in your vocabulary.
:o i actually feel very [strike]guilty[/strike] you saying that, as im sure im not as ill as any of the rest of you! I am in pain constantly and i get tired to the point i could cry as my muscles are burning so much but i actually manage fine, some days the kids do get a throw together meal which doesnt take long [like today] and im sure i should do far more in the house than i do but its clean and tidy [it will never get a deep clean more than once a year im sure :rotfl: ] it hasnt got to the point of me not being able to do anything for months, for about 5 years now, i said i would never get myself to that point again and i havent ;)

anyway Auntie Axe have you eaten today?? :p *no one spots the quick change of subject*
whilst you have your soap boxes out you may want to have a look at mine some time... i have a wonderful range that i occasionally drag out ;)

sharon when i got my sewing machine i was like a kid at xmas :rotfl: not that iv ever made anything much with it

natzini i hope you feel much better soon after your post xmas flare :)

hello to everyone else :) has s/e been in recently? i cant remember when i last saw a post?? but then with my memory i dont remember much these days!

a quick whinge before i go ... :o im noticing that my spine is getting far more curved at the top than it should be, i have slight scoliosis and i think the fact that i sit sort of slumped in the corner of the sofa on my laptop isnt helping :( but it hurts far too much to sit upright for long? i cant stand for very long or sit but the ache in my nedck has been terrible from before xmas and i think its ecause i had more time to sit about during the holidays
ok whinging over, time to feed the kids before ds1 collapses from hunger [his words not mine!!]

have a cosy evening everyone xx

    Hi everyone.

I haven't been online for a couple of days, so a belated "yippee" for BZ and hope all now goes according to plan.

I'm more than a little run down today, been doing too much at the weekend. I do it every flippin' week. What usually happens is that Mr LW suggests we do something or go somewhere, and he looks so disappointed if I say I don't feel up to it, so I sort of put on a brave face and do whatever he's suggested, even if I feel like total carp. I guess it's the "G" word again.:confused:We do actually have something prepared for dins tonight though. I made a big pot of potato and pasta soup yesterday, so there's enough for today as well, so at least Mr LW won't have to cook when he comes in from work (I'm in no fit state, and would probably not be safe if I tried today).

CwtA I've often forgotten to eat, too. Doesn't do us any good, does it? I hope you've remembered to have something today.:o
