Thank you raeh and sharon, I did have a cheese and ham sarnie for lunch today - or most of it anyway.
I didn't actualy do anything else as Dad rang (p1ssed again  ) and so I just had a bath and washed hair.
Just having a cup of tea and then off to put mince on for dins.
raeh, enough of that talk please. It isn't a competition to see who is more ill than everyone else and we all have out own way of coping. You obviously find balanced life with work and that's your way. It really upset me to think that you feel that way. It's as banned as that word, OK?
Do you see a physio at all? I think if the back/neck pain etc are settling in to stay, I would tackle it sooner rather than later to see if it can be stopped in its tracks. Howzabout looking at an ergonomic layout for the laptop if you can? Kitten notwithstanding
I think s/e has been around, but I haven't seen her post anything. She knows we worry, so I'm sure she'll pop in and [STRIKE]nag us[/STRIKE] reassure us at some point.
sharon, did you have a word with anyone about the palpitations? Yes, I know the answer - just a nudgeI must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -

bigzippy Way to go gurl on the new home! I hope once you get in there and settle you're very happy. It must be almost as exciting as the prospect of getting married, under the circs. It is you wot's planning to get married at some point, isn't it?
Bit of a narse moment chez else - just gone to the fridge to get the last portion of risotto out for nuking (I'm bluddy sure it was there when I looked at lunchtime) only to find it's not there. Now, either T/S took it into work this morning and I didn't notice, or the life-form that is growing at the back of the fridge has eaten it. You know we keep [STRIKE]nagg... [/STRIKE]encouraging each other to cook? Well I'm too knackered tonight (especially as I hadn't got anything out of the freezer to start it defrosting earlier in the day), so I'm having a dinner of cheese straws and possibly an apple or two for desert.s/e0 -
I am so fed up with being ill, first the flu over xmas and newyear, then at the end of last week just as Im feeling a bit better I came down with a heavy cold and sore throat, then today I went to my sons and threw up when I got there, Id felt fine until I got out of the car at his flat ! It seemed to be mainly cattarh (sp?) thats one way to get rid of it I suppose
yuk. I thought I fet a bit better but on the way home I had to pull over in the car twice to throw up again, double yuk ! I spent the afternoon in bed and still feel quesy but the thing is I need to take my tablets tonight and I should really eat something first, but I cant face eating anything yet, might try a bit of dry toast in a bit, Im dead jealous of you lot discussing you tea lol.
Can I ask a question to those of you with sewing machines please ? I really fancy trying my hand at things like taking up some curtains, making cushion covers, I have used a sewing machine before but almost 30 years ago at school, Ive been looking at some of those cheap mini portable ones has anyone got one ? would they be suitable for a beginner and would they come with instructions ? Id be grateful for any advice. My Mum said she will show me what to do but shes got one of those really ancient singers and the handle keeps falling off when you use it, so I would like my own.
Hope you are all well

Might I suggest that you just have clear liquids (boiled water or black coffee if you can stomach it) for the next few hours 'til you stop upchucking? If you've got a stomach bug or eaten something recently that's disagreed with you, the first thing you need to do is stop 'feeding' it and give it time to clear.s/e0 -

Howzabout looking at an ergonomic layout for the laptop if you can? Kitten notwithstandingi just mean you all seem to have so much more to cope with and i feel like a whinge sometimes. I actually feel much better now im working again, whilst i was ill at home i think i thought about my pains far more and whilst im at work i have no time for that, the sen kids i work with are great and it really is an easy morning for me and its only 4 mornings. They want me to set up a new reading/literacy programme which will be an extra hour each day so im thinking about that before i say yes as i still need time to rest in the afternoon before the kids are back.
my back has always been painful and my neck but recently my neck feels as if its not stong enough to hold my head?? I think il ask about seeing someone next gp appointment i have
s/e glad you are ok, im better at having food ready/ prepared for meals as the kids would throw fits if there was nothing in :rotfl: luckily ds1 is quite capable at making things now at 14 as well.
sue im so sorry you are feeling so baddo you think you could manage to have a biscuit and a cup of tea, often when im feeling sick tea and a rich tea biscuit are all i can face
i had one of those teeny sewing machines and it was useless so i got a full size one, aldi had them in a few weeks ago for £39.99 and they were really good as my friend bought one. They have them in every so often as welli dont do much at all with mine but i have shortened curtains and made school play outfits
right im off to watch eastenders, hope i havent missed anyone2009-£7500 2010 £10800 2011 £2000

Raeh, you misunderstood - it wasn't that you were making it sound like a competition, I was just trying to assure you that it's not. Comparing other people's lives and troubles to your own is like comparing egg and bacon. They're two entirely different things.
s/e, nice to have you back. :T
Particularly if you say lovely things about me
Tis bloomin annoying when you just know you'be seen something in the fridge and it suddenly disappears. I blame the government
suep, I fancied the idea of one of those mini sewing machines and everyone said they were carp, so I got a full size one from Tescos a while back and it was only £25. Sadly, it hasn't even made it out of the box yet.
So sorry you're feeling bad. Do you think a trip to the docs might be in order as you keep suffering these things? Just a quick check on your immune system perhaps?
Someone once said to me that flat coke was good for settling tummies, but I think sipping water is probably the best idea. Do try not to get dehydrated though.
Sending you hugs.

i havent a clue what to buy so probably wont yet... dh keeps getting cross as all i can think of is stuff for other family members and not myself
id forgotten about flat pepsi for an upset stomach, i was told that for the kids, as its full of salts and minerals or something so rehydrates you better than just water if you can face anything else2009-£7500 2010 £10800 2011 £2000
