Welcome back Trialia
Good news Jamla! I'm pleased for you!! :T Your sig made me laugh tooCwta wrote:BZ, brilliant that OH's job is going well. I would go for it with the dress thing. We talk about pacing ourselves, but stress does you in too. If going to look for a dress will help reduce the stress levels, then I would do it but plan some downtime to recover for a couple of days afterwards.
That's only my opinion and I'm sure someone will be along to correct me soon
And how is re-setting your sleeping patterns going?)
I told myself I was taking the day off today, sent OH off in the car while I went back to bed til a friend came round and woke me up to the sound of the doorbell (at, like, 3pm! :shhh:) so I thought I'd take the opportunity of the company to sort through my clothes...and may've packed a few cases... :silenced:  I'd love to say I've scheduled a day off the day after, but I may go looking in Manchester then  We'll see how it goes, eh...Raeh wrote:bz what sort of dress are you thinking of? have you something in your mind? monsson have some gorgeous off the peg dresses, when my sister was getting married last year we saw some fabulous one there but shes a much larger size and kept grumbling at me being a 6/8 and being able to just pick any up:rotfl: they do have a huge range of sizes though
...and I'm with Cwta...you can go off people fair quickly!!

its a pain being a short !!!! isnt it? i gave up with trousers, until they shrink in the dryer i walk on the bottoms of them, which does sometimes lead to many changes a day as wet ankles are no fun. but i cannot sew to save my life, nnor do i know anyone who could turn them up for me.
im glad im not the only one who takes advantage of company to get things done, its so much easier to fold and sort and etc with someone to talk to isnt it?
its been quiet in here the last few days, hope everyone is ok.0 -
One of the major bonuses of my cleaner is she's nearly 6 feet tall! She put up a light shade that I had lying around for nearly 18 months as there was no-one to do it. She didn't even need the stepladder!
I have high ceilings and changing a light bulb etc is a pain for me as I can't reach even with the steps.
pcl, are you getting used to being back in blighty yet?

:T jamla thats excellent news
my life changed so much when i was awarded the mobility [i dont get care] as it meant i could have a car and actually leave the house alone
no waiting for favours from people to nip to the shops and i work which i couldnt do without a car
enjoy it
Auntie Axeare you feeling any better? i often have days when i feel grumpy for no particular reason [pain levels i spose do have something to do with it] good idea to send emails though as it really seems to help venting it and getting it all written down ... bit like doing it here i spose
bz il have to google alfred angeloi looked at so many with my sister i almost went mad :rotfl: hers was a cream dress with burgundy trim and the back was all burgundy down in to a long train
there are some fabulous coloured dresses. Id go for red if i did it again
pcl i permanently have trousers that trail on the floor:rotfl: dh complains all the time about it but i think they look better than trousers too short as one of my friends wears  it was wet today and i had about 2 inches of damp trouser leg all morning
i prepared the veg yesterday and this morning for a stew today and left it cooking in the slow cooker all day so it will last today and tomorrow hopefully :)im not sure what i will do in summer when no one wants hot meals like that2009-£7500 2010 £10800 2011 £2000
Thank you to everyone who posts comps xxx0 -
raeh, not too grumpy today, thanks. I think it was due to lack of sleep and I utilised the Amy last night to ensure I slept better. At least it didn't leave me with theta "hangover" type feeling.

Heh, reading this makes me think... I am short - only just touch 5'4" - but I have legs that are nearly half my total height in length, so I don't have that particular problem, but the house I share has high ceilings - how glad am I to have a friendly 6' housemate who will change the lightbulbs? *g*
Meant to spend more time in here yesterday, or today, but Thursday seems to have gone missing for me. I did what I said in my post, but came home at 7pm and crashed, and only woke up at... yep... 7pm. *blinks* Still tired, but whoa.Homosexual, Unitarian, young, British, female, disabled. No, I can't deal with doing boring things like sorting through things without company. It drives me mad, I'm not sure why?
Raeh was it like this? This dress is what brought me to Alfred Angelo in the first place. Well I went to a dress shop today, a Pronuptia, eventually (bro brought SIL over nearly 2 hours late. *Sigh*) but I wasn't keen and they had a pretty rubbish size range too. (Even skinny wee you would've struggled!) I'm not sure why every dress has to be adorned with scratchy sequines/beads/pearls/glass..?I'm intending to have a bit of a mooch round Manchester tomorrow with a friend, but more the department stores that don't mither you so much perhaps...? (Might have to nip into Primark for the odd tshirt or two too :shhh:
Trialia don't worry too much, we're all on/have been on weird sleep cycles...
Cwta I really need to go back to my old brand of Amyonatrampoline! I'm sick of these restless rubbishly sleeping nights!!
Going to OH's now for some homecooked hotpot for supper (yum, yum!:D) so I'll catch you all tomorrow after I've exhausted myself good and proper tomorrow!"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0
