oh bz im so sorry about the house :(you really dont need extra stress do you? I cant see why they wouldnt accept a guarantor! surely thats giving double the chace of getting the rent? When we bought our 2nd house the mortgage was really big and because dh is self employed we needed to get my dad to guarantor for us, that way they were sure of getting the payments!! i know a mortgage might be different but its still making a payment. We had a tenent in a flat we owned who had housing benefit and it was paid direct to us so we were knew the payment would be there! i really hope you can come up with some compromise or if not find another place that you love even more :) x

sharon i hope you are feeling better today? i hate the days when i go out and people seem to dash by me as im walking along so slowly, i cant go any quicker but as im not really limping or anything and people cant see 'why' im walking slowly they tut and push past :(

sue i hope your dad was ok when you went to vist?? i bet he was pleased to see you :)

unity i hope your son is ok , its terrible to have a friend die at that age and i dont think you think of mortality until something happens? you accept sort of that grandparents will die but not people of your own age. when i was 17 a school friend was killed in the lockerby disaster, she was flying to america to visit her older brother and it was so strange to think we wouldnt see her again?

hello lw, s/e and A. Axe i hope you are all feeling ok today :) hello to everyone else. Im so glad its the weekend and i can relax and rest for a couple of days [yeah right ... im looking round and seeing everything that needs doing lol]

    stay warm x

  • One way through hot flushes is to get so knackered that you sleep through them! Worked for me last night.
suep sorry you're having a bad time recovering - be kind to yourself for a while, eh?
Raeh, I know it won't make a blind bit of difference me saying it, but do try to pace yourself?!
BZ, the universe has a way. Maybe this place isn't working out as there's something just round the (metaphorical) corner for you that's even better. I know, hard to hope that that is the case.
I got all silly, soggy and hard to light last night watching ER. Sitting here with tears down me cheeks thinking, it's only a TV programe!
Cleaner is due over tomorrow pm, so I now have to work hard today to clear a space for her to clean.
Hope you all have a little sunshine in your days.

It's the thought of having to tll OH :D
I'll have a wander off and see if I can find anything about cotraindications on Pregablin that relate to this and come back in a wee while.
It couldn't perhaps be that you've overdone it a little? That's quite a list of things you've done and I haven't even got dressed yet!

  • sharon, it looks like there is a side-effect of palpitations and that it's a side effect you need to mention to your doc. Could you ring the surgery and get some advice as it may wel be due to the increased dosage?
There are also lots of mentions of the dry mouth too.

  • I wonder if i can have your opinions please,

approx 4-5 times in 11 mths i have had bad days starting with headache then all over body paid stabbing pains in legs, elbows, back, knees.

this goes on for a day or two and i feel tired and upset with the pains that keep coming. I had a really bad day the wkend before xmas the pain was unbelievable i was in supermarket when it got worse and i had to stop and hold on to trolley and found myself doing deep breaths to blow through the pain, i couldn't concentrate to shop and my partner brought me home i then took some pain killers but i find they only just take off the edge.

i have seen a doctor a couple months ago and all he said was to keep a log of these days. As these attacks only come once each couple of months i have not been back to the doc yet till i see if i have more attacks.

and through reading online i find it sounds like this condition ?

    any thoughts anyone ?

    many thanks in advance X

Many thanks Raeh, to be honest he has quite a few friends in Iraq and Afghanistan, so I suppose we always knew one of them would be likely to be killed or injured, just because that's the way it is - it's war, but this latest one was a complete shock. I still remember the pictures of the Lockerbie disaster and how frightening it all was. It must be horrific to die in an aircrash and indeed for those who were on the ground at the time.

I am still feeling wrecked at present and wish I could just pull myself out of the pit. The tiredness is crippling, as is the cold (another hard frost today) so all I want to do is curl up and sleep - but then there's the other side of me that keeps me awake feeling guilty that I'm not out and doing things - if I could only shut her up I'd be able to have a nap in piece :rotfl:. Does everyone get this agonising guilt - or is it just me? I'm trying to have a post Christmas clearount, but not getting very far - everything aches and I'm on the verge of falling asleep

Ho hum, DS just woke me up as I'd fallen asleep over the puter - so I guess maybe I should sleep now whilst I can..

    C u soon

Hi and welcome!Fibro is a weird illness and does take a while to get diagnosed-most of us seem to get there by Drs ruling everything else out.As well as logging symptoms have you thought about what had been going on in your life prior to the first of your symptoms starting-often fibro seems to come after excess stress or accident. We do get pains in joints etc and look on fibrouk site for details of the tender points test and try it and thats a pretty good indicator.we will be happy to answer any other questions or pm me. x
