Thanks for the welcome!
Feeling a total muppet tonight!! I cooked dinner (fish in batter and peas) and on dishing up realised I hadn't cooked any potatoes to go with it! der! Kids think I am mental!0 -
Hi Lewt -sorry don't think I can help you. This is the best forum I've found so far but nor relaly looked into chat things. I know that the AYME site (for people with ME under 25/26) has one, from memory, but not sure if you have to be a member or whatnot...?
Jenhug should've told em you were trying to cut down on carbs for the new yearOr served it up with bread, which is how mum eats it anyways....

My hubby thought it was amusing, lukily we keep microwave rice in so he had that (kids wont eat rice) so i made them some chips later, their dinner did not fill them up! LOL!
I am really in pain tonight, taken my Ami's wont be long for bed I don't think, I am trying to avoid the co codamol the Dr said to take as I hear its highly addictive.0 -

Raeh. I've been doing this since about October and have booger all to show for it. Never mind - someone stole my shopping mojo anyhow.
Sorry about the place BZ. It must mean that it wasn't right for you. I'm convinced something will come along for you when the time is right.
jenhug. I haven't found the co-codamol addictive and I have a highly addictive personality. However, some people have said they get a spacey feeling from them and I don't get anything (not even much pain relief) so maybe that's why. Do be open with your GP about this - if he/she doesn't know you feel this way, they won't be able to prescribe an alternative.
I am pleased someone BZ's type of age is here, iykwim. I have a feeling these type of medical problems make you grow up quite fast, but people of different ages have different life experiences.
OK, it's official I am talking even more nonsense than usual, but I hope you know what I mean!
btw BZ, turn your beggering heating on for longer! I don't fancy the idea of a BZ popsicle.
sharon, take your time until you get better - the chores will still be there when you're feeling more up to tackling them!I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -

Haven't heard that it's cocodamol is addictive either? But I do make a point of cycling/alternating my pain meds anyway (and am also worried about getting addicted to stuff btw).

I am intrigued to see what a BZ popsicle would look like though (and the very fact that you used that word shows you've had too much contact with the Yanks lately!)
You only don't want one cos I wouldn't be here for you to tell off any more"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -

Keep fighting the good fight
Hi, I think I heard that there was a facebook or my space group or 'thingy' for fibro. Can't vouch for it as I haven't been tempted by 'social networking' yet. I can barely keep up with emails and 'phone calls! Anyway It might be worth a try
on another note has anyone got any ideas how to cope with the dry-mouth side effect from amitrytiline. I have that rotten cold thats doing the rounds, a sore throat & dry mouth is horrible.
Oh and a belated HAPPY NEW YEAR to all my fibro buddies. Take care of yourselves and keep the heating ON, no energy company will go bankrupt if they have to wait a few weeks extra for you to pay your bills (sorry to nag but I mean well)
