I've just been playing catch-up from my last post and couldnt believe it was on NY Day, thats not like me at all, but I've been so ill since the day after boxing day with first flu and then the after effects which were more like an ME flare. Yesterday was the first day I went out, just to visit my son and his family for a couple of hours, but Im really paying for it today and can hardly stand for more than a couple of mins.
BZ - My daughter has a Wii fit although my DH uses it more, I've been tempted to try the Yoga but Im too embarressed to find out what my Fit age is especially as DH has got his down to 32 - he'll be 44 at the end of this month. My best pressie was a new camera as my old one broke a few months ago and I like to take loads of pics of the grandkids as they are growing up so fast.

raeh - I didnt make any resolutions, I felt too ill to even think about it.
I suffer from severe headaches/ migraines and have had alot lately, DH blames them on the central heating which he blames for all ills, he keeps telling me to turn it off and open the windows to kill of all the germs  You can guess what my reply is because its not printable :rotfl:

CWTA - I think I might be peri - menopausal too, Im not going to the drs, I hate going with a vengence and wont go until things get really desperate. I might do a bit of research on the net later though.

Unity - I already said how crap I still feel so wont repeat myself ;) I spent a lot of ill time browsing on EBay, did you know there are shops on there selling new hand knitted baby/childrens clothes for quite a bit of money. I just thought for you and any other knitters here that it could become a good money spinner.

Trialia and Jenhug - Hi welcome to the forum, just wanted to say although it is really unlucky to get Fibro at all let alone at a young age children can get it too although its rare, I have a friend who was dx at 14, it seems to hit people of all ages. Lets hope they come up with a cure before you get much older.

  • Welcome to the thread Trialia and Jenhug.
Sorry to hear about your ills, but you'll get lots of support and giggles here.
I'm full of aches today and feel like I'm staving off the cold that everyone has had.
Also realised I had forgotten to order my repeat prescription which is a bit of a booger. All my own fault.
Am going to spend a couple of days pottering here at home before the cleaner comes back at the end of the week. If only I could learn to put something away when I have finished with it, it would help a load!
It's crispy cold here and I'm putting off going out for some milk. Partly because I really should do my hair first or I'll scare all the children!
I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break :D

Hi everyone. Welcome newbies. Well, I've been offline for a couple of days over the weekend, finally got my email playing nicely again (it stopped working for no apparent reason), and..... *fanfare*.... we've got our holiday booked.:j:j:j:j

I've been sitting here playing catch-up with the thread.... and now I can't remember half of what I've read. Anyone else for brainfog?

Decs went back in the loft on NYDay, and the last NY resolution I ever made was many years ago, and I've stuck to it ever since.... "No more NY resolutions!":D

Anyway, I hope those who've had flu/bugs/lurgy are much better. Been a bit coldy myself, but nothing much, just mega-tired!!!.

Unity I will get round to emailing you, just as soon as I have my right head on (IYKWIM):o

Ah, Mr LW has just put a cup of teaa in front of me.:p He's working from home today. Good thing, as there was a bad accident on the Abbey Hill roundabout, just up the road from us this morning. (Heard about it on the traffic news on Classic FM).
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Yes, OK, OK, I just had to check if there was anything new before I dusted, alright?

  • bz if you do go to the maldives for your honeymoon be sure to go all inclusive, it really is worth it. a 1.5 litre bottle of water was 7 dollars otherwise, which soon adds up. also dont bring very much spending money, its only needed for tips (maybe 100$) and shops if you go to a local lived on island. the tourist islands all runa credit system, you sign for everything then settle up by credit card, they wont let you pay cash in any of their shops/bars etc.

mittens, last month my hands were frozen all the time, i got some of those fingerless gloves that have a piece liek a hat pulls over to turn them into mittens. best things ever!

hope everyone is ok and just being quiet.......
  • Hope everyone is keeping warm in this cold weather. My heating is on constantly except at night which is really rare for me.

BZ, waiting to see if the place you were hoping to look at was any good. Fingers crossed for you.

There was more I was going to say, but it's somewhere in the fog

I wrote that at 11.30pm last night but thought it was actually 9.30pm. I was sooo knackered. (which considering I've been up til 5/6am lately is fairly unusual)

Oh, and I'm 22. *g* Yep... I am so used to people saying I'm too young to be this ill, and it makes me crazy.

bigzippy - I recognise that line in your sig! D'you find it at BYDLS?
Welcome to the party ;)
    I'm 26, so I know what you mean. :o
It was there I found it yeah, I've put everyone here onto the Spoons Theory too :D It was linked in my sig, but teacher told me off...boooo!

    Welcome to Jenhug too

Cwta OH rang about the house this morning, but it's already gone. :( We're looking at a couple tomorrow and one weds I think... I've been pretty out of it today. OH woke me up around lunchtime, with a chip barm, I was awake for about half an hour/an hour before I realised just how lousy I felt and went back to sleep for a while. I just knew if I went downstairs, I wouldn't be getting back up again. So I stayed in bed :D til oH came and woke me again about 5.20pm and now I've managed to make it downstairs for the soaps ;) I got up and wondered why the heating was on, when I'd been in bed and OH out (he's now at work) so I text him and he said cos it was -3....erm....oh. lol :o

Suep I went on sisters Wii the other day (mainly used by nephew) and surprisingly got a Wii fit age of 29! I was MADE UP! lol I think it was before it weighed me though ;) I think it's more on your balance...?

LW Where you booked to go then? C'mon, share all!

PCL Thanks re Maldives. I shall bear it in mind (unless the fog gets me first!). I daresay you lot'll know when I do where we're going so if it is there you can remind me again then ;)

Sharon59 I know what you mean. I keep thinking that if I look at the shelves that need packing up long enough it will mean I've done it and can move onto the next task!

I've taken far to long over this post, and I don't think it's because it's particularly long, just that my brain function time is!
